As the member of the Congress Co-ordination Centre (War Room) at 15 GRG, | have been thoroughly involved in the management and co-ordination of almost all State Assembly elections since 2009 til date, the Lok Sabha elections of 2009 & 2014, the Presidential Elections of 2014 and all the Party related activities throughout the country, This letter is a culmination of my thoughts from the experiences of all these years. ‘As you are aware we are all passing thru difficult times which have and are posing many questions to the entire cadre. ‘There are 4 broad points that trouble me. First, despite being a national organization, we do not seem to have succeeded in identifying, grooming and creating a depth of management required. There has been a total mismanagement of the party affairs, which have led to many political failures and administrative losses, also resulting in many legal issues. Party's indecisive functioning in Maharashtra, Assam, Goa, Uttarakhand and Arunachal led to defeat in the Assembly polls. The same is being repeated in Himachal and Gujarat. The party is in disarray in almost all states with rampant factionalism. Second, the party has moved further to the Left, leaving the centrist space in the country. We today seem more comfortable ideologically and culturally with the far-Left in extending sympathy to Kashmiri separatist, JNU protesters and in minority appeasement. The Party is now perceived as just another far-Left ‘Anti-Hindu’ party like the Communists, Trinamool Congress and other leftist organizations. 24, Akbar Road, New Delhi - 110011,
