This step may not be performed depending on
the applicable marketing area.
Only the harness shown in the illustration must
be routed through the clamp.
Make sure that there is no slack in the harness
between the clamp and the connectors.

13. Connect the supplied flat cable to the connector

The orientation of the cable should be the same as
the one in the illustration.

IV. Adjusting skew feed (Front side)

V. Adjusting leading edge skew

Note:
Look at the guide lines when making the adjust-

VI. Adjustments on the Service Mode


1. Display the Service Mode screen.

2. Touch ADF.
3. Touch FD-Mag. Adj.(F).
4. Touch Auto Adjust.
5. Place the chart in the document feeding tray (with

Mode screen and wait for 10 seconds or more
before turning on.

II. Installation procedures


1. Turn off the machine and unplug the power cord
from the power outlet.

3. To detach the left side of the document pad from


the feeder, separate the two faces of the hook- 7. Remove the guide plate. (One screw)
and-loop fastener (at two places on the left).
Note:
When removing the document pad, pull apart the
hook and loop fastener one by one. Pulling the
mall at once may damage the sponge.

8. Remove the ground terminal. (One screw) 13. Route the ground terminal through the hole
shown in the illustration and attach the guide
plate to the dual scan document feeder.

Note:
Align the round pin of the stamp with the slit in the
stamp unit side.

14. Connect the connector of the hookup harness,


and route the hookup harness into the guide.

11. Attach the stamp unit to the guide plate.

Note:
Ensure that the ground terminal is on the upper
side of the mounting bracket of stamp unit.

16. Reinstall the cover that have been removed in
step 4. (Two screws)
17. Securely attach the document pad by pressing it
