Dear Recruiter,
I am writing to express my interest in marketing positions within your agency at this time. I am a highly
talented and motived marketing and graphic design professional with an extensive background in marketing,
sales, art studio, photography, social media, and graphic design. I am graduating from the University of South
Carolina in May 2017 with a degree in both Marketing and Art Studio with an emphasis in graphic design My
passion is generating enthusiasm and support for innovative businesses.
My skills in marketing and graphic design paired with my ability to meet deadlines and bring concepts
through to completion have contributed to my success within my chosen fields. I have performed a wide variety
of activities including marketing research, social media strategy, advertising, public relations, customer
communications, sales, as well as print and digital design. I have balanced a full course load in school while
pursuing internships outside of my classwork every semester. I have strategically focused my marketing
coursework in integrated marketing communications, social media, event planning and strategic internet
marketing because Im interested in matching prospective consumers with brands that can enrich their lives.
With more than 10 years experience in graphic design, I am adept in concept design, project
management, and final design implementations. My on the job experience has afforded me a well-rounded skill
set but I excel most at designing layouts, producing images, & developing website styles and social media
profiles. Other areas of my expertise include corporate communications, contributing creative ideas during
corporate brainstorming sessions, coordinating multiple work projects, and implementing SEO tactics to get
measurable results. My designs have been published in local newspaper and journal articles and helped several
companies increase their sales and customer base.
My employment experience in real estate firms, the University of South Carolina, grade schools, and the
chamber of commerce helped me to gain professional as well as personal skills in developing content to enrich
these organizations and improve their personal brand. Working closely with managers from different
departments allowed me to analyze and interpret department needs giving me the ability to make wise
marketing and design decisions. My diverse experience has opened up my ability to adjust quickly to changing
environments and implement innovative tactics to help both small and large businesses thrive.
Although enjoying my current position, I am exploring new opportunities as a media professional within
a progressive organization where I can continue to provide strong marketing and media leadership. As there is
considerably more to relate, I look forward to our meeting and discussion regarding how I might assist your
media needs and further advance the visibility of your company and clients. I enclosed my resume along this
letter. I look forward to the chance to meet you for the interview session. I hope that you can call me soon.
Thank you for considering my application.
Sincerely yours,
Kelsey Alexander
