1.0 INTRODUCTION
Kotak Mahindra Bank is a private bank established in 1985 whose base camp are in
Mumbai.

2.0 OBJECTIVE OF PROJECT

customers.
3.0SUMMARY
This project is based on Consumer Behaviour towards Kotak Mahindra Bank. Kotak
Mahindra Bank has various types of Current and Savings account whose feature are
described below. These accounts are prepared keeping in mind various classes of people
and their needs. Different accounts have different facilities. Therefore, Kotak Mahindra
Bank is one place for all the banking needs.
Apart from the description of the various kinds of accounts, the project end with the
competitors of Kotak Mahindra Bank, its feature and the facilities providing its strength,
the weakness and threats on the basis of three months internship.
Thus Kotak Mahindra Bank has great opportunity to provide its services to these business
houses. The major threat that Kotak Mahindra Bank is facing is that from the nationalized
and private banks like ICICI bank, HDFC bank, SBI, IDBI bank, etc., all over the project
covers the performance of Kotak Mahindra Bank in Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) India, Branch
Aminabad.

5.0 Savings Accounts
Kotak Mahindra bank Savings Accounts are designed to ensure that the customer
receive the benefits of quick & convenient banking transactions along with options
for money to earn high returns. The savings account goes beyond the traditional
role of savings, to provide a range of services from funds transfer options to online
payments of bills to attractive returns earned through a comprehensive suite of
investment options.
The bank has a number of variants of savings accounts customized to suit
individual needs. There are mainly four types of saving account

for collection at all branches for no extra charge.

that automatically sweeps out idle funds, above a threshold, from account into
Term Deposits. These Term Deposits sweep back into account to meet fund
requirements when withdrawals exceed the balance available in account, thereby
providing maximum liquidity.
8. Free investment account: The Net Banking facility to purchase/redeem mutual
funds online while directly debiting / crediting bank account. Further, the
customer gets a free investment account for tracking investments with the Bank.
This account provides a consolidated view of all mutual fund investments across
schemes with updated returns status, latest NAV information and research
reports.
9. Dedicated relationship manager: get a one-point contact for all banking related
queries and transactions. Relationship manager is qualified to help with financial
planning and sound investment decisions in order to meet financial goals.
10. Family Savings Account: The Kotak ACE Savings package allows extending the
Kotak banking experience to three of the family members. The Family Savings
Account comes equipped with all the benefits of a regular savings account with a
special average quarterly balance of Rs.5000/-

8.0 TERM DEPOSITS
1. An existing customer can place a term deposit through Phone Banking or Net Banking
He can even renew this deposit by placing an instruction over phone. Needless to
mention, he can do all this and more by walking across into any of branches.
2. This facility is available for tenure of 181 days or more. One can also choose to link term
deposit to savings / current account, whereby if need be, term deposit will automatically
customer will earn interest at the rate prevailing on the date of deposit for the withdrawn
amount.
4. Nomination facility available he can avail this facility for each & every account that
customer open i.e. nominate different persons for different term deposit accounts.
