OSI PI Project Goals
Provide a platform for students to access the campus energy
consumption and have the ability to create scenarios that reduce
energy and greenhouse gas creation.
Create the ability to combine data from multiple sources into one
common repository to simplify use.
Develop a data archive that can be accessed to provide before and
after evidence of benefits.
Create an opportunity for students to understand energy flows in a
real world environment.

Why does UVM want to use OSI PI?
The software works. Its proven technology.
It is embedded in the Delta V controls in the Central Heating Plant
Its cheaper than replacing all existing controls at UVM into one
common platform
Many configurable displays. limited only by our creativity
Well GET THE FACTS to be able to make informed decisions for:
What is the load
Determining when to turn equipment on/off
Optimize operations
What is the cost of heating or cooling
