Designation: Operations and Capacity Development Officer Duration: June 14- June 15
Organization: United Nation Development Programme (UNDP Timor Leste)
Ensure full compliance of operations with UN/UNDP rules, regulations and policies for finance, human resources,
procurement and logistic services.
Manage financial resources of the project and capacity development of the finance and admin staff.
Support quality assurance and develop capacity around compliance/reporting of NGO micro grants recipients from
the project and overall grants management.
Ensure proper planning, expenditure tracking, timely reporting and audit of programme financial resources.
Advice and support for human resource agreements between UNDP and national judiciary institutions.
Facilitate the effective implementation of programme activities/interventions by providing the operational
support.

Assist the country management team in assessing staffing requirement i.e. develop of team
structures/organogram and the most cost effective way in which to achieve them.
Coach and train all staff involved in recruitment on best practices and equal opportunities.
To advice and coach line managers and staff on HR policies and best people management practices including
appraisal, staff development, discipline and absence in accordance with INGO policies and legal requirements.

Provide onsite review of all grants proposals for contractual consistency, accuracy, and compliance with USAID
regulations in Malakand Division at partners office.
Keep abreast of all USAID/Pakistan contracting actions and policies that are relevant to FIRMS grants.

Drafting relevant correspondence related to the management area, especially related to national authorities,
civil society, International Partners .Supported and drafted proposals of different component.
Coordinate extensively and timely follow up with service units and liaise frequently with internal team
members both at Headquarters to ensure deadlines are met.
Ensuring logistic arrangements are in place for international and mission visitors
Responsible for the day to day management of the project Financial management, human resource
management, administration, Procurement, asset Management, security and logistics management.
Prepared/Developed monthly, quarterly, yearly financial reports to the donor and APO Bangkok for their input.

Prepared periodic financial reports of the projects funded by USAID, UNICEF, EC, OFDA and other donor
agencies. Team member of the donor proposal writing.
Budget follow up and compliance as per the donor rules.
Provide assistance to staff in developing programme work plans, budget compliance and tracking of project
activities in line with project implementation plan and utilization of programme budget.
Provide monthly management reports to the Country Director and Program Managers, including expenditures
by cost centre/project, sub-grantee reporting and other financial information, in a timely and accurate
manner. Assist the auditor by providing answers to their queries and by providing all requested
documentation.

Summary of my responsibilities were:
Maintain & Monitor Schedule of Budget vs. Actual Expenditure of each project.
Preparation of Monthly, Quarterly, and annual Financial Report for use of Companys Management.
Bank reconciliation and cash flow requirement. Close co-ordination with external auditors, providing of
required records, explaining & responding queries raised by auditors.
Prepare special reports, policy papers, position papers and briefing notes and participate and/or lead special
human resources projects.
Designation: Accountant/Internal Auditor Duration: 1st June 1995 to September 1997
Organization: Coordination of Humanitarian Assistance (Pakistan)
Conduct regular internal audit.
Preparation of Financial Reports and Budgets for donors included EU, IRC, NOVIB, UNHCR, CHRISTIAN AID, and
UNDP.
Develop, implement and monitor of internal accounting system and administrative reforms and procedure.
Monitor day-to-day accounting transactions. Coordinate with banks, donor agencies and other partners.
Achievements:
I was selected by Cranfield University UK as Trainer of Trainer (TOT) in 2001.
I conducted Financial management trainings for more than 200 students of the mine action implementing partners NGO`S of the
United Nations Mine Action Programme of Afghanistan for one to six weeks. I got special certificate for 2001 and 2002 for special
course on basic accounting for finance officers and assistant finance officers of the United Nation Mine action programme
implementing partner organisations. I also conducted training for SDC funded programme of Farm Forestry project of Khyber
Pukhtonkhwa during 2004.
I was visiting Lecturer in Allama Iqbal Open University for Common wealth MBA degree for 2003-2004.
