The action for revocation or reduction according to Article 763 of the New Civil

Code shall expire in four (4) years. The expiration date shall be reckoned from the
date of the birth of the first child. Birth in the article shall not refer to natural birth
but rather the recognition of the child by both parents. Recognition of the child may
be done through voluntary or judicial compulsion. If there is a legitimated child, the
period shall be counted from the time of legitimation. Legitimation becomes
effective from the time the process of legitimation has been completed; this can be
through recognition or a subsequent valid marriage.

If the child dies before the action of revocation or reduction is commenced, the
donation shall still be considered valid. If the donor dies, the right cannot be
renounced and it is transmitted, to his legitimate and illegitimate children and
descendants.
