Defendant Lokesh Tantuwaya moves to disqualify Hueston Hennigan. (SCIF I, Dkt. No.
992.) After extensive briefing and over 100 minutes of oral argument, the Court found and
concluded that there was an unwaivable conflict of interest disqualifying Hueston Hennigan
from further representation in this matter. Consistent with this finding and conclusion, the
Court also ordered the following.
Counsel for all parties are ORDERED to attend a global settlement meeting by April
29, 2016. Parties should inform the Court of the outcome of that meeting by May 2,
2016.
Hennigan may advise any new counsel hired in this matter consistent with their
ethical obligations to take reasonable steps to avoid prejudice to their clients.
The Trial, Pretrial Conference, and Discovery Cut-Off dates are VACATED pending
further hearing.
The Court ORDERS a Status Conference on May 9, 2016, at 9:00 a.m. to discuss
matters including new deadlines and trial dates and how best to movH thHVH caseV
forward.
The Courts 19-page Tentative Order will issue after the Court makes some modifications.
For numerous reasons, the Tentative Order will be edited and issue no sooner than May 9,
2016.
