Registration Fee (as per actuals) 2, Admissible Travelling Allowance 3. Admissible per diem as per Institute rules 4, Visa ee, if applicable 5. Medical Insurance, if applicable 6. Local travel in India (restricted to 200 km from IIT Kharagpur campus on each way at road mileage rate as per rules) and abroad GENERAL GUIDELINES 1. The ful financial assistance will be provided to at most one author per paper. 2. Fulltime students at all levels (Under-graduate, Post-graduate, Research, and Post Doctoral Fellows (PDF)] and Faculty Members will be eligible for the grant of financial assistance. 3. Each applicant must be an author of the accepted paper. 4, The paper must be out of the research carried out at this Insitute. 5, There must be a written communication from the Programme Committee organisers of the Conference regarding the acceptance of the paper. 6. Each co-author other than the applicant if any) of the accepted paper must give his/her consent In writing that he/she will not seek financial assistance from the Institute for presenting that paper himself/herself and that he/she does not have any objection to the author (applicant) ‘making the presentation. 7. The faculty members/students/PDFs are required to present a seminar in respective Departments/ Centres/schools before or immediately after their return from Conferences. 8 There should not be any disciplinary/penalty proceedings pending or contemplated against the applicants. 9. For collaborative research work, the affiliation of the applicants should be IIT Kharagpur and the same should be mentioned in the paper. 410. if any fund is available for this purpose from other sources such as CPDA, SRIC, etc. for the faculty members and any existing schemes for the students on this account, the applicant should first avail it. The balance support if needed may be considered through this scheme. Thus, present scheme for the financial assistance would, therefore, be over and above existing schemes, 11. The applicant must have a) Anunder-graduate student should have successfully completed the coursework for the first six semesters without carrying any backlog. bb) Incase the applicant is @ student of Joint MSe-PhO or Joint MTech/MCP-PhO or any other two- year Masters programme, he/she should have successfully completed the coursework for the first two semesters without carrying any backlog. ©) Incase the applicant is a student of a programme of three-year duration such as MMST and LLB, he/she should have successfully completed the coursework for the first four semesters without carrying any backlog. d) In case the applicant is an MS student, he/she should have spent one year and must have successfully completed the recommended coursework. ‘e) Incase the applicant is @ PhD student, he/she should have registered for Ph.D. In case the applicant is a Post-Doctoral Fellow, he/she should have spent one year in the Institute, 8) fan applicant is a UG or PG or MS student, then he/she must have obtained minimum CGPA of 8.0at the time of application. 2. Ifthe applicant is a Research student or a Post-Doctoral Fellow, he/she must have at least one paper published in a reputed Journal in addition to the relevant conditions mentioned above. The same paper should not be used to avail any other financial assistance from the Institute. However, the condition of the research paper's publication in the Journal s relaxed for the first time applicant. 3. Ifthe applicant is a MS or Research Student, the period of conference should be before the date of submission his/her thesis 4, The papers must be presented either in oral or poster mode. '5, The eligibility criteria mentioned above may be relaxed by the Director in respect of outstanding applicants/exceptional cases. ‘GUIDELINES FOR FACULTY MEMBERS 1. Faculty member should normally have completed a minimum of 1 year continuous service at this Institute 2. Faculty member must have at least 3 papers in the reputed journals during the last 3 years 3, Faculty members must have @ paper for presentation at the Conference either in oral or poster mode or have been invited by the organizers to deliver a lecture or chairing technical session of the Conference.
