MEDIA CELL, NITRR

Media cell of NIT covers all the happenings of NIT throughout the year. It
sincerely covered all the fests, seminars, workshops, interviews and events in
2015 and establish a link between the institute and commoners. Both English
and hindi reports were made and photographs of the events were also relevantly
attached. Media cell consisted of a team of 13 members in the year 2015. The
team started its work with the Go Green Ganesha, an event of We care- The
Green Movement, NITRR which was an open participation for several schools
and other collages too. The other events of the club; Bag O Mania, Best Out Of
Waste, Painting competition etc conducted under Swachhta Pakhwada were also
covered sincerely that aimed to spread awareness among the people our need
and responsibility to keep the surroundings clean. The team also took an
interview of the Green Committee projecting out their motto, discussing their
recent steps and enquiring about their further plans. The team also covered the
E- Summit, a two day fest on entrepreneurship organised by the
Entrepreneurship Cell, NITRR. From the speaker sessions to B-Quiz everything
was covered. After this the team also enthusiastically covered the several events
organised during Aavartan, The Technical Fest NITRR. Starting from the
inauguration ceremony to the games like Laser Tag and other competitions like
Wall Street, Robo War, Rural India etc; the technical events like diabolic
dumper the adventurous events and the great Tech Show and Bike stunt all were
covered minutely. Vigyaan, The national science exhibition was also thoroughly
covered where we saw active participants from other places like Chennai etc
and more than hundreds of collages. The Musical Night, Shruti conducted by
the Cultural Committee, NITRR was also covered thoroughly where the
participants mesmerised the audience with their marvellous voice and beats.
Along with this Nukkad performed by the Dramatics Club, NITRR and the
Cultural Committee and other events conducted on the Engineers Day; the fun
events, NITRR ; essay writing, treasure hunt etc conducted by Literati- The
Literary Committee, NITRR; the several workshops conducted by the Robotics
club, Training and Placement team of our college(TEQIP) were covered by the
media team. Media covered a workshop Ansys and staad conducted by
technocracy team. Then covered a seminar on social cause awareness against
cybercrime. Media covered a workshop on sixth sene robotics-vision Botix
conducted by technocracy team. Team also covered the 2 days workshop on
Internet of things conducted by Blue Baniyan association.

In 2016 media is consisted of a team of 14. The team started its work with the

The other events of the committee like the Traditional Day, Mehandi Art etc
which were a part of the pre Diwali celebration were also captured. Along with
this Nukkad performed by the Dramatics Club, NITRR and the Cultural
Committee and other events conducted on the Engineers Day; the fun events
and DJ evening conducted by ShauryaThe Sports Committee, NITRR ; essay
writing, treasure hunt etc conducted by Literati- The Literary Committee,
NITRR; the several workshops conducted by the Robotics club, Training and
Placement team of our college(TEQIP) and the Garba Night organised by the
newly established dance club Nrityam were also covered. The team has
sincerely tried to capture each and every event being organised in the college
and establish a bridge between the institute and the outer world and still it is
covering the events as they come up.
