Detection System

1) Passenger c 2 0 (M) May be inoperative provided:


Configuration a) The toilet compartment is electrically isolated,
b) The waste bin is empty,
c) The toilet compartment is locked and appropriately
placarded, and
d) The toilet compartment is not used for any other
purpose.

OR

B 2 0 (M) (0) May be inoperative provided:


a) Toilet compartment Fire Extinguishers are fitted
and checked to be operative on a daily basis, and
b) The toilet compartment is checked at 20 (twenty)
minute intervals for evidence of fire or smoke.

13-2 Toilet Fire c 2 0 Any or all may be inoperative.

Extinguishing
System

1) Pacific-Scientific A 8 4 (M) One GREEN Disc may be missing on each engine

Relief (GREEN a) It can be confirmed that the remaining Fire
Disc) Indicator Extinguisher Bottle(s) have not thermally relieved,
b) The affected Fire Extinguisher Bottle(s) have not
been electrically discharged, and
c) Rectification or replacement action is carried out
within 1 flight day.

2) ENG EXT USED c 8 0 (M) May be inoperative provided it can be confirmed


Annunciators that the affected Fire Extinguisher Bottle(s) have not
discharged .

Extinguishing a) Fire detection system operates normally,

c) A fire guard is stationed on the ground adjacent to
the APU at all times while it is operating, and
d) APU is started just before engine start and is shut
down after engine start.

Annunciator a) It can be confirmed that the Fire Extinguisher
Bottle has not discharged,
OR
b) The APU Fire Extinguishing System is considered
to be inoperative.

NOTE: The APU Fire Extinguishing System is not


required when APU is not used.
