WARNING
Electric-shock hazard
Some parts of all electrical installations are energized. Failure to follow safe work
practices and the safety warnings may lead to bodily injury and property damage.
For this reason, only trained and qualified personnel (electrical workers as defined in
IEC 60215 or EN 60215 + A1 or in the National Electrical Code or in ANSI/NFPA
No.10) may install or service the installation.
Procedure
Perform the following procedure to power up a 9332 radio Compact Node B AC/DC
cabinet (equipped with an MDU power system) when it is completely powered off.
...................................................................................................................................................................................................
2 At the operator AC power supply, put the site circuit breaker of the 9332 radio Compact
Node B cabinet in the "ON" position.
...................................................................................................................................................................................................
3 On the MDU, put the "AC Heater-15A" and "CB3 Cooling-2.5A" circuit breakers in the

NOTICE
Service-disruption hazard
If there is only one xTRM module in the xTRM/PA/GPxOIM shelf, the service is lost.
If there is a second operational xTRM module in the xTRM/PA/GPxOIM shelf (case of
xTRM redundancy or STSR3 configuration), the service is reduced.
Procedure
Carry out the following procedure to replace the xTRM.
...................................................................................................................................................................................................
2 Locate the faulty xTRM in the xTRM/PA/GPxOIM shelf: its red triangular LED is ON.
...................................................................................................................................................................................................
3 Lock the faulty trm object at the OMC by Set Administrative State. For more information
refer to Alcatel-Lucent 9353 Wireless Management System - User Guide, NN-20500-032.
...................................................................................................................................................................................................
4 Disconnect the following cables from the front panel of the xTRM:

Impact on the equipment
If the new xTRM module requires a manual upgrade at the TIL, and is used without being
upgraded, it will become out of service. For more information on how to upgrade the
xTRM through the TIL, see Alcatel-Lucent 93xx Node B Commissioning and Fault
Management User Manual: TIL, NN-20500-019.
If required, perform a software upgrade through the TIL.

9 Close the door and check visually if the gasket compression is correct everywhere.
Test for an adequate compression:
Place a sheet of paper with half inside and half outside the cabinet at the top of the
door.
Close the door while holding this sheet of paper in place.
Lock the door (with the key).
Pull the sheet of paper and try to remove it from the cabinet.
The door gasket compression is adequate if the sheet stays in place.
