Mr. Montieth,
This letter is a follow up to our telephone conversation of 8/23/2017. As I had mentioned,
unfortunately for the 2017-2018 snow season, we will not be opening any of our property for public
snowmobile trails in the Town of Redfield. As you are aware, this is a community service we have provided
for years, that greatly benefits the Town of Redfield, surrounding communities, local business as well as
taxpayers and property owners of the region.
The Zoning & Town Boards of Redfield as well as the Tug Hill Commission, have rejected the idea
of working with our company in any reasonable matter. Thus as a direct result of this, were forced to take
this action.
Please make all necessary changes to all trail maps, printed and online, to reflect the public trail
system no longer being on any of our company lands. If you would also give the trail closure notice on the
clubs website and Facebook page it would be appreciated. All gates will be locked throughout the winter, so
in the interest of safety, it is imperative that the club makes every effort to notify the people who have
utilized these trails in the past. We will make the NYSSA Trail Coordinator aware of this as well.
Should anyone have any questions regarding these trail closures, I would direct them to contact
Redfield Town Supervisor Tanya Yerdon, and the Redfield Town Board, Redfield Zoning Board
‘Commissioner Mike Yerdon and the Redfield Zoning Commission, as well as the NYS Tug Hill
Commission Planning Director Philip Street. Ihave attached their contact information to this letter.
‘Thank you in advance to your prompt attention to this matter.
Sincerely,
