Lionel Messi, was born on june 24, 1987, in Rosario Argentina. Messi nowadays is a soccer
player. He started playing soccer when he was a child, with his older brothers. When he was a
child, he was short because he was diagnosed by doctors from a hormone deficiency that
restricted his growth. Their parents are Jorge and Ceclia. At the age of 8, he was recruited to
join to Newells Old Boys in Rosario. He needed growth-hormone injections but their parents
couldnt pay them because they are poors. So at the age of 13 he had the opportunity to train
in the FC Barcelona and the club could pay his medical bills. Messi went to Spain and he
started t olive in Barcelona.

he began playing for FC Barcelonas team. He scored 21 goals in 14 games for the junior team,
and he quickly graduated through the higher-level teams until at age 16 he was given his
informal debut with FC Barcelona in a friendly match. At the age of 17 he became the youngest
player in the spanish soccer league. He was short, but he was fast and precise in control of the
ball. In 2005 he was granted Spanish citizenship. The next years he continued playing in
Barcelona. The FC Barcelona won a lot of trophies. He has won 4 champions league, 8 spanish
league, 5 kings cup, 3 club world cup, and a Olympic gold medal with argentina.

He has broken a lot of records. He has scored 91 goals in 2012. He has 5 golden ball, he has
scored 58 goals with argentina national team, he has 30 trophies in all his live, he has 507
goals with FC Barcelona, he has 137 assistences in spanish league, he has scored a goal to all
teams in the spanis league, he has 23 goals to Real Madrid team, he has 4 golden boots.

The others players have recognized his talent, Maradona said "I see him as very similar to me,"

Messi hasnt won the FIFA World Cup, in Brazil 2014 he played the final against Germany but
he couldnt win the game.
