Company History

Creative Architectural Solutions, Inc. is an architectural firm utilizing over 70 years of part-
ner experience to deliver design and production solutions to the national retail, restaurant,
daycare and hospitality marketplace in addition to specialized solutions in the central Ohio
marketplace. Creative Architectural Solutions vision is to build a unique firm in the archi-
tectural marketplace specializing in design, materials, 3D modeling, computer technology
and creativity while creating a learning environment for its associates and employees.

Creative Architectural Solutions unique positioning in the market is based upon its capa-
bilities to deliver 3D production solutions and superior client satisfaction. These capabili-
ties are built upon current 3D modeling solutions and the E vs. Q vs. Q approach to estab-
lish and deliver client satisfaction. The E vs. Q vs. Q approach defines for clients the
need to evaluate the Economy, the Quality and the Quantity in each project. The approach
ensures creative design and production solutions by balancing of these factors and estab-
lishes client requirements before project start. By utilizing this approach, Creative Archi-
tectural Solutions can deliver on client expectations and maintain the highest customer sat-
isfaction in the market.

Currently, Creative Architectural Solutions employs twelve full-time staff, including three
registered architects; Michael McCall (18 years), Dan Marsh (25 years) and Scot Draughn
(15 years). The firm was established in June of 2001 by partners Michael McCall, Scot
Draughn and Brian Edison.

Creative Architectural Solutions history of growth has been measured and consistent since
conception. While occasionally utilizing contract employees, we have been able to main-
tain a strong and loyal workforce. Creative Architectural Solutions has the ability to grow
quickly as project loads demand.

An adaptation of a French Bistro, the design of the Bon Vie
Bistro is a prime example of successfully capturing the
charm of a modest European diner on a far grander scale in
order to meet the high customer demand offered by the
thriving multi-use destination of Easton Town Center.

Creative Architectural Solutions worked closely with the

owner to incorporate their key brand elements while also
incorporating strategic revisions to take full advantage of the
restaurants unique location, offering high customer traffic
on every faade of the structure. Appealing exterior street-
side dining areas, wide oversized entry portals and an open
cook line are effective design elements that assist in drawing
dining patrons into the space with appetizing aromas and
easily accessible views of the inviting atmosphere.

By design, the Jinsei restaurant was intended to attract
select discriminating patrons who appreciate a simple yet
elegant dining experience. The lines are crisp and clean
with rich finishes and materials that hint at a Japanese
vernacular. A perfect backdrop for Asian gastronomic
offerings such as Kobe beef, tempura, flown-in fresh
nigiri & sashimi.

Creative Architectural Solutions partnered with Chute

Gerdeman Design to implement this small suburban gem
of a prototype. Now, a highly successful Birmingham
destination, it has exceeded all expectations and will
surely be repeated (and imitated). With seating of
approximately thirty patrons within the serpentine-shaped
lounge area, the formal dining tables and, of course, the
sushi bar offering a far more authentic experience, Jinsei
is more akin to a restaurant in New York or San Francisco
than anything else you can find in the Birmingham area.
A fact that has certainly not escaped the dining public, to
which many a satisfied restaurant reviewer will attest.

Pick Up Stix restaurant was established in 1989 by
Charles Zhang, a Chinese immigrant who believed that
Americans were ready for fast, high-quality Chinese food
that was wokd fresh. He must have been right. Pick Up
Stix is now a leader in the quick-casual dining market
with over 100 locations.

For the Pick Up Stix, Creative Architectural Solutions

worked with Chute Gerdeman Design to create a new
prototype for future franchise roll-out. Over the last few
years, Creative Architectural Solutions has prepared
design layouts and construction documentation for over
38 locations in the western United States.

Raising Canes Chicken Fingers exemplifies the successful new
variety of specialty, fast-casual restaurants. With eighty
restaurants in thirteen states, their high quality / limited menu
approach has proven quite effective, resulting in new and
quickly growing franchises throughout the Midwest.

After two successful Central Ohio restaurants, Creative

Architectural Solutions designed a new Raising Canes
prototype for Polaris Parkway. The result was a savings of
over 10% for the construction cost-per-foot with a notably
improved aesthetic. Thorough construction management
assured the adherence to strict local zoning requirements and
meeting the owners highly-aggressive project timeline.
