Weighbridge

Objectives:

- Management and treatment for the facilities and related tools

- How to use the weighbridge
- How to avoid fraud

Weighbridge is one of the most important thing to avoid fraud, quality defect and material cost.

Good standardize weighbridge should have:

- Signs for saffety procedure and speed limit
- Office with high safety such as fenced window
- Fenced loadometer
- Camera to check the materials loaded

Flow Chart:

Direct managemet is conducted by branches, Procurement staff only need to supervise and to watch
over the management by the branches.

NB: Note due to the price, not all of the project site may have the weighbridge

Our weighbridge apply U shaped steel technology because it has better load distribution resulting
in higher accuracy.

Load cell has the lowest life span amongst all internal parts: it should be away from smoke, water,
and any other disturbance. (1 load cell cost approximately IDR 6mio)

All the data produced by the load cell are to be transfered to the data converter and converted from
analog data to digital data that is user friendly.

2 kinds of weighbridge installation:

- Level-up (bridge like); this installation avoid water ponding

- Same level as the floor

Installation selection should consider the location:

- Possible Water stream

- Risk of electrical failures, and storm/ thunder attack
- The elevation of the ground & foundation fairness

Things to check:

- Ground and foundation elevation flatness accuracy

- Gradient of the entrance path (4m long, height??? Check the Standard)

Objectives to achieve in using weighbridge:

- To crosscheck (example: check the diameter of steel using calipers and crosschek the weight)
- Independent checking by third party to confirm the goods quality and quantity

Management step & things to concern:

- Periodical checking (Daily, Weekly, Monthly and annually)

- Speed limit of the loaded vehicle (5km/hour); not too long or too fast
- Make sure that the weighbridge is only used to chceck appropiate vehicle
- Should there be any difference between our Weighbridge calculation data & delivery order
data, please refer to contract
- During heavy rain, it is prohibited to use weighbridge and weighbridge should be turn off
during heavy rain.
- Check whether there is any unwanted load such as water tank loaded.
- Driver should get off the vehicle
- Check whether the operator has record the information from weighbridge (should be
recorded in the hardcopy and softcopy)
- All documents should be signed.
- Check the documents whether it is all well signed. (operator, driver, management person)

How to avoid fraud:

- Check computer Virus, malware and other hardware that attached that may affect the
calculation result (hardware sabotage ;3 machined- input, processor and output hardware)
- Check whether the processor seal is broken (machine should be broken if the seal is broken)
- Check the water disposal of the vehicle
- Check the CCTV

Steel Management

Now, our steel storing has not standardized because we have not finished our bore piles and
foundation. Soon we may have standardize storing management

Storing management:

- Each specification should be stored in specialised placed/area (BJTP/S, Bended, Scrap, etc)
- Control the scrap steel quantity to be minimum
- Avoid fraud in the project site
- Limit to categorize as the scrap steel; (D>=19, L<40cm)
