Participation Exercise 1

Q1: What personal weaknesses did you discover from analyzing your responses
to the questionnaire?

Ans: By analyzing the questionnaire I realized that my self-esteem is low as

compared to innovation, achievement and personal control as I only got 5.40 in
self-esteem whereas I got 7.33 in innovation, 7.80 in achievement and 7 in
personal control. After doing the entrepreneurial attitude orientation quiz I have
found that I get self conscious with the thought of what my business associates
think about me. This thought makes me uncomfortable in some situations.

Q2: Do you feel you can be an entrepreneur in spite of these weaknesses?

Ans: Yes, my strong decision making, determination and habit of solving problems
will help me to become an entrepreneur. Striving to pick up the pieces and start
over again; control in every situation and accomplishing a goal by working for long
hours is my biggest thrill.

Q3: What can you do to improve your areas of weakness?

Ans: I feel introspection of my inner self, focusing on my strength and building up

my self confidence will reduce the feeling of self consciousness and thus I will
become more comfortable in every situation.

Q4: What did the questionnaire indicate as your strengths?

Ans: The questionnaire indicated achievement and innovativeness as my main
strengths as I am capable of seeking out new ways of solving problems and
working in unique ways to achieve business objectives. Capability to take control
in unstructured situations is also one of my strengths. It made me realized that I
am a determined and hard working person. I am a good organizer and am able to
solve problems by myself. My open mindedness helps me to learn from others
which make me flexible in thoughts. The forward looking approach makes me
think ahead. I have clear established set of goals which keep me away from
getting stuck.

Q5: Do your strengths compensate for your weaknesses?

Ans: Yes, my strengths can overcome my weaknesses. My ability to come up with

the ways to solve problems and my decision making powers will compensate for
self consciousness.

Q6: Does your lifestyle appear to be compatible with the demands of an

entrepreneurial career?

Ans: Making sacrifices to succeed in business, taking risks for future prospects and
learning from mistakes and working for long hours to accomplish my goal is a
must to become an entrepreneur. You did not answer the question.

Good work, Gurleen. Thanks for re-doing this exercise.
