APPLICATION FORM FOR ADMISSIONS EXERCISE FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS (AEIS)

for Admission to Primary or Secondary Schools in 2018

Gener al Information

(1) AEIS is a centralised admissions exercise conducted by MOE at the end of every year for new international students (IS) who wish to join our
schools at the beginning of the following academic year in January.

(2) IS who do not have a place in our mainstream schools and who wish to seek admission to Primary 2-5 and Secondary 1-3 are eligible to take part in
the exercise.

(3) The exercise would comprise English and Mathematics tests that would assess applicants' English literacy, numeracy and reasoning abilities.

(4) AEIS test papers and scripts will remain the property of MOE and will not be released to any applicant. Admission is subject to the applicant's
performance in the test. If successful, placement will depend on available vacancies and the applicant's declared residential a rea in Singapore.

(5) Applicants should note that school admission is subject to them obtaining a Student's Pass (STP) from the Immigration & Chec kpoints Authority
(ICA) if they do not hold a Dependant's Pass (DP) or Immigration Exemption Order (IEO). You may refer to the ICA website at https://www.ica.gov.sg
for more information, including the requirements for local sponsorship.

Age Cr iteria

(6) Applicants should ensure that they satisfy the age requireme nts for the levels they are seeking admission to. They must not be overage by more
than 2 years above the age-appropriate for that level.

and age-appropriate level.

Completing the Online Application Form

(9) This form may take about 15 minutes to complete.

(10) Please prepare the following information and supporting documents before filling in the on-line application form:
Information on the applicant (e.g. passport number; Foreign Identification Number to be provided if any)
Information on the parents (e.g. NRIC number / passport number and work pass num ber, if any)
Valid email address
Local or Overseas contact number
Credit Card details (if applicable)
A copy of applicant's birth certificate and passport wit h validity of at least 6 months (clear and legible in PDF or JPEG)

Payments

(11) The AEIS fee is S$672 (inclusive of GST). Fees paid for the AEIS are non-refundable.

(12) Applicants may make payment via one of the following modes:

(a) Credit card (Prefer red mode of payment) - Applicants may enter their credit card details in Step 4 of 5. Click here for more details. If you
encounter err or in making payment via credit card, please contact SEAB at SEAB_AS@seab.gov.sg

(b) Cheque / Bank-draft -

1. Applicants may issue a crossed cheque of a bank based in Singapore or a bank draft drawn on a bank in Singapore. They should be made
payable to "SINGAPORE EXAMINATIONS AND ASSESSMENT BOARD". The applicant's name, passport number and the test level for
which the applicant is applying for must be written on the reverse of the cheque/bank-draft. A crossed cheque or bank-draft should be
for a single application fee of S$672.
2. The payment for the AEIS fee via cheque / bank draft must reach the mailing address below within one week of application. Ple ase note
that mail from some countries may take some time (as long as three weeks or more) to reach our office in Singapore:

(c) Cash / NETS - The Cash/NETS option is available only at MOE Customer Service Centre. Applicants may visit our website at
https://www.moe.gov.sg/contact for more details about operating hours and peak periods.

Submission of Supporting Documents

(13) Applicants are to email the following supporting documents (clear and legible in PDF or JPEG) to SEAB at SEAB_AS@seab.gov.sg within one week
of application to ascertain their eligibility:
Applicant's birth certificate (if birth certificate is in other languages, submit an accurate English translated copy) and
Applicant's passport with validity of at least 6 months
Please provide the applicant's nam e, passport number and test level in the em ail's subject

(14) Applicants may be required to submit additional documents upon request.

(15) Incomplete applications (i.e. without paym ent and/or supporting documents) will not be processed.

(16) All documents submitted for application purpose will not be returned to applicants.
