today, let us all stand and pray.

PRESENTATION OF CLASSROOM
RULES:

Before we start our lesson for today, I have rules

that you should follow:

1. Maintain a quiet room and seat

properly

to raise your hand
3. Listen to teacher
Understood Class? Yes teacher

A. DRILL
These are some of the words that we
have tackled the last time. Read these
words as fast as you can

Evaporation Evaporation
Condensation Condensation
Precipitation Precipitation
Collection Collection
B. REVIEW
Can anybody class could refresh our
minds if what was our topic yesterday?
Yes Josh Josh:
Teacher our topic yesterday is all
about the water cycle

Very good, and what are the parts of the

Water Cycle again?
Yes Sean Sean :
The Parts of the water cycle
teacher includes evaporation,
Condensation, Precipitation, and
Collection.

Very good Sean it seems you have

remembered our topic yesterday class.

C. UNBLOCKING DIFFICULTIES
Ok class I have some picture words to be
repeated after me that we would
encounter as we tackle our lesson for
today

Is that clear class? Yes Teacher!

The words are:

Water Pollution Water Pollution

Air Pollution Air Pollution
Soil Pollution Soil Pollution
Thermal Pollution Thermal Pollution
Radioactive Pollution Radioactive Pollution
Noise Pollution Noise Pollution
Light Pollution Light Pollution

D. MOTIVATION

Class we have a visitor for today and he

needs our help quick!!!

Class lets help Mr. Earth

Yes Teacher
E. PRESENTATION OF THE LESSON

Ok class what have you noticed?

Yes Jann Jann:
Teacher I noticed that Mr. Earth
cannot breathe.

Very good Mike! Base on the things you

noticed class what do you think would be
our topic for today?
Yes Ela. Ela:
Teacher our topic for today is all
about Pollution

Very well said. Our topic for today is all

about Pollution

F. DEVELOPMENT OF THE LESSON

What is this class? Teacher that is a picture of the

different pollutions
Exactly, The picture represents the
different types of pollution

This types of pollution is made up of a few

main parts:

Water Pollution
Air Pollution Kevin:
Land Pollution As the name suggest, Water
Thermal Pollution pollution. Is the type of pollution
Radioactive Pollution that involves the contamination of
Noise Pollution various water bodies. Various
Light Pollution aquatic creatures depend on these
water bodies and its natural
nutritious features to support its
life.
For us to determine the different types of
pollution lets define some terminologies
for us to enlighten our minds.

Seven types of Pollution

1. Water Pollution
Please read
Yes Kevin.

Rentar:
These are examples of water pollution: Air pollution is the contamination
Raw sewage running into lake or streams of air by smoke and harmful
Industrial waste spills contaminating gases, mainly oxides of carbon,
groundwater sulfur, and nitrogen.
Radiation spills or nuclear accidents
Illegal dumping of substances or items
within bodies of water
Biological contamination, such as bacteria
growth

Farm runoff into nearby bodies of water

These kinds of environmental pollution are

linked to health issues in humans, animals
and plant-life.
2. Air Pollution
Please read
Yes Rentar Rentar:
The contamination of the air
present in the atmosphere is
known a air pollution. Respiration
is an important life process of all
living things. We breathe in the air
present in the atmosphere.
Therefore if the air around us is
contaminated with poisonous
gases, it would have a fatal effect
on us.

Examples of Air Pollution:

Exhuast fumes from vehicles

The burning of fossil fuels, such
as coal, oil, or gas
Harmful off-gasing from things
such as paint, plastic
production, and so on
Radiation spills or nuclear
accidents

Air pollution is linked to asthma, allergies

and other respiratory illnesses.

3. Land Pollution
Please read
Yes Marie Marie:
Land pollution is the degradation
of the Earth's surface caused by a
misuse of resources and improper
disposal of waste.

Example of Land Pollution:

Litter found on the side of the
road
Illegal dumping in natural
habitats
Oil spills that happen inland
The use of pesticides and other
farming chemicals
Damage and debris caused
from unsustainable mining and
logging practices
Radiation spills or nuclear
accidents

Land pollution is responsible for damage

done to natural habitat of animals,
deforestation and damage done to natural
resources, and the general ugly-ing up of our
communities.

4. Thermal Pollution
Please read
Yes Danny
Danny:
Thermal pollution is the increase
of temperature caused by human
activity.

Examples of Thermal Pollution:

Warmer lake water from nearby
manufacturing (using cool water
to cool the plant and then pump
it back into the lake)
Included in thermal pollution
should also be the increase in
temperatures in areas with lots
of concrete or vehicles,
generally in cities

These kinds of environmental pollution can

cause aquatic life to suffer or die due to the
increased temperature, can cause discomfort
to communities dealing with higher
temperatures, and will affect plant-life in and
around the area.

5. Radioactive Pollution
Please Read Grace Grace:
Radioactive pollution occurs when
Radioactive metals disintegrate
releasing dangerous beta rays
which can cause cancer and other
mutative diseases.
6. Noise Pollution
Please read Kris Kris:
The sounds which are not
pleasant to hear are called
noises. This can be experienced
by too many vehicles honking at
the roads, heavy machinery being
operated in the open, trains, clubs,
over populated crowd and many
more.
Noise pollution is known to cause
mental stress and depression. It
can also cause damage to ear
drum which can lead to deafness.

7. Light Pollution
Please read Macky Macky:
Bright lighting functions, big cities
causes light pollution. Excessive
light on the retina causes extreme
discomfort in the eyes, especially
in dim conditions like during night
time. Bright lights strain the eyes
and also give headaches and
migraines.

G. GENERALIZATION

Did you understand our topic for today Yes Teacher!

class?

Ok then, can anyone enumerate to the

class what are the different pollutions?
Yes Vincent Vincent:
The different pollutions we
experience are water, air, light,
thermal, radioactive, land and
noise pollution

Excellent class. Now you have mastered

our lesson for today.

H. APPLICATION

For me to evaluate if you really learned

from our lesson for today. I will divide the
class into 4 groups and show pictures to
identify according to our topic today The
winner will receive their prize.

Are you ready class? Yes teacher we are ready.

Ok class ready at the count of three

one. Two. Three. Start..

Wow well done group 4 lets give group 4

a one big clap.

I. VALUE INTEGRATION

At these moment I want you to imagine

PICTURE OUT a place with too much

pollution . Do you think we can survive
especially mother earth also suffer as we
did? No Teacher

What do you think when too much

pollution is present here on Earth?
Yes Ralph. Ralph:
We will all have diseases teacher

Exactly class! That is why we need to

control pollution. Lets help our
community to control pollution so that we
can live a healthy and fresh Earth.

So class what will we do?

Yes Joy Joy:
We must save mother earth from
pollution.

Excellent class!

III. EVALUATION
Identify the types of pollution.

__________1.

__________2.
__________3.

__________4.

__________5.

__________6.

__________7.

IV. ASSIGNMENT
In each Types of Pollution, Enumerate some ideas on how to minimize
or prevent this pollutions..
