WELCOME, PASTOR MYRON! Pastor Myron lives in Lincoln, NE. He is married and has two
children. His wife, Kris, is a para educator in the Lincoln Public school district. His oldest son
is a freshman at UNL. His youngest son is an eighth grader. Pastor Myron has been a pastor
for twenty-eight (28) years. He has served congregations in South Dakota, Illinois, Iowa and
Nebraska. Pastor Myron has been trained for intentional Interim Ministry and has served
seven (7) churches as an interim/transitional pastor. Pastor Myron enjoys teaching, Bible
studies, confirmation and visiting people. In his spare time Pastor Myron enjoys crossword
puzzles, travelling with his family, fishing and trying new foods. If you stop by the church,
please poke your head in and say hi to Pastor Myron.

The NORFOLK FOOD PANTRY
is in FULL SWING for SEPTEMBER and is in
GREAT NEED of donations of
non-perishable food items. Some items to
consider donating: crackers, mac & cheese,
box dinners, pudding, juice and tuna.
Collection boxes are available in several
locations in the Narthex near the front
doors, in the west hallway, and by the
offices. Monetary gifts (placed in an
envelope designated to Food Pantry) may be
placed in the offering plate or dropped off at
the church office.
@ DeVents Center, Divots. Teams will be
packing meals at 10 AM, noon, or 2 PM your
choice! Watch for registration opportunities.
November 30th: Date Night on Thursday
evening 5 8 PM. Drop off your infants thru
5th graders and enjoy a few hours without
the kids. The perfect time to Christmas
shop or enjoy a romantic dinner! Well
provide dinner for the kids. Watch for an
opportunity to rsvp.

ALS Community Walk

1 - 30-centimeter ruler, or a ruler with centimeters
on one side and inches on the other
1 - pencil sharpener
1 - pair of blunt scissors (safety scissors with
embedded steel blades work well)
5 - unsharpened #2 pencils with erasers; secure
together with a rubber band
5 - black or blue ballpoint pens (no gel ink);
secure together with a rubber band
1 - box of 16 or 24 crayons
1 - 2 eraser

DIAPERS & WIPES DRIVE
During September, watch for a tote in the west
hallway for your donations of diapers and wipes for
Bright Horizons. No public assistance covers the
cost of diapers and babies need 8-12 diapers/day.
All daycare providers require disposable diapers.
Diapers sized 4, 5, and 6 are especially needed.

NOISY OFFERING
Have loose change in your pocket on the
weekend of Sept. 23-24 as WELCA will be
collecting their Noisy Offering to help
defray the cost of shipping quilts and kits
around the world. The InGathering will
take place on Nov. 6-9 when all kits and
quilts from the surrounding area are
gathered in at St. Johns for the first leg of
their trip to wherever they are most
needed.

COMING IN 2018
Medicare is removing Social Security
Numbers from Medicare cards to prevent
fraud, fight identity theft, and keep
taxpayer dollars safe. The new cards will
be mailed between April 2018 and April
2019. Once you receive your new card,
shred your old one.
Your new card will be mailed directly to
you automatically. If you receive calls,
mailings, or emails asking for information
or payment to receive your new card, this
