Lab #1 is re-introducing Excel into Quantity Surveying and/or Estimating. Excel is used into

creating spreadsheets for a proper estimation. With the use of Excel, we were able to organize

and calculate our data to create a estimation for a construction project. As well as doing

calculations by hand to get a more precise estimation. Putting and organizing all data into its

correct place in Excel

Labeling items, materials, labor, sum of all cost, etc.

Final Estimation
The re-introduction into Excel gave us a better understanding on how to create a basic

estimation spreadsheet. In the spreadsheet it consisted of materials, prices for materials,

quantity, and labor as well. With using the tools of Excel we were able to organize data into a

proper estimation. A modifiable Master List was created, and we believe we should be able

to use this throughout the rest of the semester, as well as to aid us in the foreseeable future in

our careers.
