Master Switch OFF

ENGINE FAILURE INMEDIATELY AFTER TAKE OFF

Airspeed 80 mph ( flap up)

70 mph (flap dn )
Mixture IDLE CUT-OFF
Fuel Selector Valve OFF
Ignition Switch OFF
Wing Flap AS REQUIRED (40 RECOMENDED)
Master Switch OFF

ENGINE FALIURE DURING FLIGHT

Airspeed 80 MPH.
Carburetor Heat ON
Fuel Selector Valve BOTH
Mixture RICH
Ignition Switch BOTH (or START if propeller is stopped)
Primer IN AND LOCKED

FIRE DURING START ON GROUND

Cranking CONTINUE to get a start which would suck the flames

and accumulated fuel into the engine .
If the engine starts:
Power 1700 RPM for a few minutes
Engine SHUTDOWN and inspect for damage
If the engine fails to start:
Throttle FULL OPEN
Mixture IDLE CUT-OFF
Cranking CONTINUE
Fire Extinguisher OBTAIN
Engine SECURE
a.Master Switch OFF
b.ignition switch OFF
c. Fuel Selector Valve OFF
Fire EXTINGISH using fire extingusher, wool blanket or dirt
Fire Damage INSPECT repair damage or replace damaged omponents
or wiring before conducting another flight
ENGINE FIRE IN FLIGHT

Mixture IDLE CUT-OFF

Fuel Selector Valve OFF
Master Switch OFF
Cabin Heat and Air OFF (exept the overhead vents)
Airspeed 110 MPH (if fire is not extinguished, increse glide speed
to find and airspeed within air speed limitations which
will provide an incombustible mixture).
Forced Landing EXECUTE

ELECTRICAL FIRE IN FLIGHT

Master Switch OFF

Avionics Power Switch OFF
All Other switches (except ignition switch) OFF
Vents / Cabin Air/Heat CLOSED
Fire Extinguisher ACTIVATE
Master Switch ON
Circuit Breakers CHECK
Avionic power switch ON
Radio/Electrical Switches ON
Vents/Cabin Air /Heat OPEN
