PREFACE

The proposed study is one that looks at women in the decision making process, it is a
study based in an urban area focusing on role of women in the decision making process. It is
over half a decade since India got independence and still a longer time since the foundation for a
democracy was laid. However when one examines democracy in practice at the local levels
there is much to be aspired.
The primary objective of the project can be satisfied progressively by
satisfying the secondary research objectives which are determining the mindset of the people in
21st century. That now a days whether women have had started taking part in decision making or
not, do they get opportunity or not.
We want to know that in todays era whether a womans got independent or not. What is
their status? Do they get an opportunity to take part in business decision making.
