Tardiness: If you arrive to class late without a pass, you must stay after school with me on that day for the amount of time you were late. If you do not, you
will be written up and have to serve an office detention.
Plagiarism: Cheating, copying work, or passing off others work as your own is a major academic offense. Any form of cheating will result in a zero on the
assignment.
Absences: If you are absent, you have as many days as you were absent to complete any work you missed. It is your responsibility to be proactive and find
out what you missed. Please be knowledgeable about the NHS absence policy. See your student handbook for more information.
Technology: This course has a Google Classroom page. You must sign in using your NHS Google account.
o All formal papers and projects are expected to be typed and in MLA format. If you do not own a computer or a printer, you must be prepared to find one.
Public libraries have computers you can use for free.
o If you experience printing problems, share your paper with me through Google docs.
o I never have a problem receiving email from students so if I dont receive an emailed assignment, you dont get credit. Check the spelling of my email
address before you send work to avoid any problems.
o School rules regarding electronic devices (cell phones, smartphones, laptops, tablets, e-readers, etc.) will be enforced. (See below--NEW for 2017-18!)

CELL PHONES:
Cell phone usage in this class is strictly forbidden unless I say otherwise.
As soon as the bell rings, all cell phones must be powered down and put in your backpack. There are to be no phones on your desk, in your lap, pockets, etc.
Disciplinary consequences for violating the electronic devices policy are as follows:
1st violation Device is handed to the Dean of Students and returned to the student at the end of the day.
