RE: Recent findings from Pittsburg, CA survey

The following findings are from a phone survey conducted August 10 to 16, 2017, among 350 randomly
selected likely voters in Pittsburg, CA. The results have an overall margin of error of
+/- 5.2 percentage points. The survey included both landlines and cell phones.

Key Findings
Voters demand the right to vote on casinos and card rooms in their town. Four out of five voters (80%)
support having the public vote before allowing gambling in Pittsburg. The intensity of support is high,
with 66% of voters saying they strongly support a public vote. Support is high regardless of demographic
characteristics like gender, age, ethnicity, and political party.

Voters dont want elected officials or candidates who will to take away their right to vote.
About 9 out of 10 voters prefer a City Council member or candidate who thinks that the public should
always have the right to vote on casinos and card rooms only about 1 out of 10 voters prefer a
member or candidate who thinks that the City Council should decide when the public should have the
right to vote.

Pittsburg voters dont want casinos or card rooms in their town. Over two thirds (71%) of voters
oppose building a new casino in Pittsburg and 68% oppose allowing card clubs and casinos in Pittsburg.
