1 INTRODUCTION
XTV Suite is a professional complete set of software tools for TV stations which manages from video capture, trimming,
scheduling to playout.
Completely automatic and unattended efficiency 24/7.
XTV is perfect for TV stations, Satellite Channels, Cable TV, News Room, Web TV, CCTV, Corporate TV, Presentation,
hotel pay tv channels, museums info channels and video wall display, which can take advantages of its user friendly
interface.
At the same time, multi-channel tv stations and tv networks can enjoy XTV's scalable structure and universal file
compatibility.
XTV is designed to achieve a true 'universal format' compatibility and provides broadcasters a powerful tool which can
virtually play all media format from any source or feed.
XTV ties together all production departments allowing direct playout of DV, HDV, MPEG-2, DVD, DIVX, MPEG-4, M-
JPEG, MPEG-1, H.264, QuickTime, MXF, etc., in any resolution or framerate with automatic adaption.
2 INSTALLATION
Reboot the PC
We suggest you to install latest DeckLink BlackMagic drivers(Desktop Video) from the following link:

Launch XTvSetup.exe from the XTV CD.

From the Functions section at the right part of the screen, select for System Settings button to open the config panel.

DATE Display the current Date
Start on air. If a clip is onair, the next one will be played
PLAY BUTTON
PICTURE PREVIEW Display a picture preview of the clip is on air
CLIP NAME Display the name of the clip
PATH Display the exact location of the file

STATUS OF THE CLIP Display the Real Status of the clip
PAUSE BUTTON Pause on air. The software will automatically add on top of the playlist the
remaining part of the onair clip.
STOP BUTTON Stop the on air clip

PLAY SPLIT If it is pressed, it cuts the video on air and start playing the selected
one, and when this finish, it goes back to the previously clip
GENDER Display the Gender of the clip
DURATION Display the total duration of the clip
3 POSITION Display the position of the clip
REMAIN Display the remaining time of the clip
PLAYLIST REMAIN Display the remaining time of all the playlist
DELAY Displays the Delay or the "Ahead of time" accumulated on the playlist
CODEC Displays the Codec of the On Air clip
AUTOFILL Enable/Disable autofill option it's used to fill automatically the playlist if the user
doesn't upload a previous list.(The AutoFill Folder need to have media files)
AUTOLOGO Enable / Disable the automatic logo management.
4 SWITCHER Enable / Disable the switcher control. It is enabled by default.
PREP NEXT Enable/Disable Prep.Next option, it's used to prepare automatically the
next clip on the playlist.
EXACT TIME Enable/Disable Exact Time option, it's used to broadcast a video in the
exact time, if this one has been configured previously on XSchedule
LOOP Enable/Disable Loop Option, It's used to Loop all the clips of the playlist.
AUTOMATIC If pressed, the system plays all the playlist from the beginning to the end
4 MANUAL If selected, it plays one clip at a time.

PROGRESS BAR Time cursor of the clip OnAir.

With default installation, Xplayout will not load any playlist at startup. Also, upon any settings change Xplayout will load a
test video file (AXEL.MPG), to allow fast test of the new configuration.
In order to save the active playlist to disk, and also disable the automatic loading of the AXEL.MPG test file, define a
folder in System Settings/Misc : Network, status, logs.
Create a folder on local drive or network drive, and select it. Xplayout will save last active playlist and status here. Also
AS RUN LOGS will be saved in this location.
In order to load last active playlist at startup, and after any restart for change of settings, enable the System
Settings/Extra : Load last playlist on startup

If Autofill button is enabled in main window, Xplayout will start playing last playlist from last played clip automatically.
In the folder create another folder according to desired date with sintax yyy_mm_dd. For example:
C:\Playlists\2014_10_16\
Inside the folder save the playlist according to desired time with sintax hhmm.xsc. For example:

Xplayout will automatically APPEND the playlist at the end of the current playlist 30 seconds before 7:15 AM of the 16
of October 2014.
Also a CLEAR AIRED command will be issued automatically to free memory from the system.

This panel is for setting up the connection with DLG Plus or other logo generator. In the Address field it has to be
inserted the IP or name of the PC with DLG Plus installed, and in port the communication port with DLG Plus (usually
202).
On DLG Plus you can define up to 99 templates that can be automatically managed by the automation

3.5.5.12 SUBTITLE
In this windows the user can enable/Disable and configure the subtitles (.srt format).
The user can also set a default folder for all the .srt files. The folder will be an alternative to the normal clip location, in
fact, if anything is set here, XPlayout will search for the subtitles in the same clip folder.

In System Settings > Subtitles you can assign a default folder which contains all the .srt files. The .srt file has to be

4 XCAPTURE
XCapture is the software for ingest from any kind of source according to the installed video board. The software is able to
record in SD/HD and in different format / codec.

IMPORTANT:
If youre running XCapture simultaneously with XPlayout (installed on the same workstation) be sure to have a Blackmagic
Duo to allow play & capture at the same time.
The only configuration to run XCapture properly is selecting as VIDEO INPUT DEVICE the second option in the drop
down list.
5 XTRIMMER
XTrimmer is the tool for cataloguing and trimming videos inside the XTV Suite.
XTrimmer is a free software and it can be installed in other workstation without license activation.

6 XSCHEDULER
XScheduler is a software used for playlist creation and management. You can add, beyond to media file, even extern events
(like vcrs, blacks, lines) or jpg (or bmp) bitmap. The user interface is designed in the Windows style so it can be used by
everyone who uses Windows products.

There are three bars: Home, Action and Tools. Each of them allows the user to edit the playlist.
