DOCTORAL STUDENT ADMISSIONS WRITTEN PROCESS DESCRIPTION

PROCESS:

1. Interest in doctoral studies (Applicant)


The applicant contacts the supervising professor for the first time and the supervising professor finds the idea interesting.

2. Seeking information and preparing application documents (Applicant)


Additional information is available on the Into site.

3. Negotiation on doctoral studies and the contents of research (Applicant, supervising professor)
The applicant presents their application to the supervising professor.

4. Application assessment (Supervising professor)


The supervising professor familiarises themselves with the application.

5. Recommendation that the applicant be admitted (Supervising professor)


The supervising professor signs the application and issues a statement recommending admission.

5.1 No further preparation of application, no submission of application for graduate studies (Applicant)

6. Finalisation and submission of application (Applicant)


The applicant submits the application electronically into the eAge system and delivers signed paper copies to the
university.

7. Received application, assessment application and eligibility for doctoral studies, request for supplementary
material if needed (Doctoral Programme Committee, Rapporteur)

8. Rapporteur checks application and attached documents (Rapporteur)

9. Application supplemented as necessary (Applicant)


The rapporteur requests any required supporting materials for the application.

10. Proposal for applicants to be admitted (Doctoral Programme Committee)


The rapporteur prepares the application for decision. The Doctoral Programme Committee makes a proposal to the dean
regarding the applicants to be admitted.

11. Decisions on applicants to be admitted/rejected (Dean)


The dean makes decisions regarding the applicants to be admitted or rejected.

The rapporteur finalises the decision to reject, which is accompanied by instructions regarding the request for
rectification.
