Blog Guidelines for Authors

These guidelines includes information about submitting articles to be published in the IVT
Network blog.
 ABOUT US

IVT Network is an interactive online community dedicated to meeting the needs of validation
professionals by educating and connecting through conferences, two peer-reviewed journals, and
products. IVT Network also operates a blog that is completely free to the public. Bloggers are
invited to join the IVT Network blog based on their expertise or background in a particular topic
or thematic area

AUDIENCE
The IVT Network is composed of readers working in validation, GXP, QA/QC, scientists, IT,
corporate management, consultants, regulatory affairs professions, as well as academia.

CONTENT OBJECTIVES
The IVT blog is a great opportunity to reach out to the validation community with your original
work on the most pressing topics in the industry. IVTs blog can include tips, news, advice, and
any other information relevant to the audience, and subject to review by the IVT blog editor.

LENGTH AND FORMATTING TIPS

We suggest a blog post length between 500 and 2500 words. Utilizing bullets to break up
information is strongly recommended.

TOPIC APPROVAL
Bloggers are encouraged to maintain a strong subject focus in support of their blogs agreed
upon scope and mission. When writing outside of their areas of expertise, especially with topics
that may be controversial, they should consult with the blogs editor and seek editorial feedback
and support as needed.

CONTENT REVIEW PROCESS AND DEADLINES

Bloggers are entitled to timely editorial feedback and the full support of the blogs editor in all
matters pertaining to their work for in the IVT Network blog.

While IVT Network has no specific deadlines for blog submissions, we request that they are
submitted to the blog editor at least 2 weeks in advance, in order for it to be reviewed for any
edits, and for it to be published on the website. The editor can be reached at
editor@ivtnetwork.com.

HEADLINES
We encourage writers to include an engaging headline, as it is the first thing a readers see. The
recommended word count for a headline is 70 words. Headlines, along with the content of the
blog, is subject to revision by the blog editor.

LINKING POLICY
Linking to references or other corresponding materials in the IVT Network blog is
recommended. However, the editor may choose to remove the link at their discretion.
PHOTO EXPECTATIONS
The author must own the rights to all submitted images, tables, and figures. If multiple tables or
figures are used, they should be referred to in consecutive order (i.e, figure 1, figure 2, and so
forth).

REFERENCES
Should you need to reference any material in your blog submission, please contact the blog
editor regarding the proper citation style.
