Todos los pilotos deben conocer las materias que aqu se presentan
para la operacin en condiciones instrumentales, pero estas deben ser
complementadas, con el Manual de Vuelo de cada tipo de aeronave, ya que hay
diversas circunstancias de vuelo por instrumentos que deben ser tratadas en lo
particular.

Con el fin de que los ojos obtengan una adaptacin optima para
vuelo nocturno, se requiere de un tiempo de 30 a 45 minutos en un ambiente de
iluminacin mnima. Mientras ms baja sea esta iluminacin, menor es el tiempo
requerido. Algunas recomendaciones para completar este proceso:

NOTAS:
- Este principio es aplicable al velocmetro, macmetro y a los
indicadores de VAV.
- Especialmente estos movimientos del diafragma, son los que se
convierten en seales elctricas en aquellos aviones que posen
CADC.
NOTA: La velocidad del sonido est considerada con relacin a la VAV del
avin.
Ejemplo: Si un avin vuela a 300 kts. VAV siendo la velocidad del
sonido 600 kts., el avin est volando a 0.5 MACH.

Todo esto sin duda, se ver afectado por distintos factores como:

Con el uso de esta tcnica los ojos del piloto pasan del 80% al
90% del tiempo mirando al indicador de actitud, dejndolo slo para efectuar
miradas rpidas a uno de los instrumentos de vuelo (los cinco instrumentos
rodeando al indicador de actitud).
Con este mtodo, los ojos nunca viajarn directo entre los
instrumentos de vuelo sino que se mueven a travs del indicador de actitud. La
maniobra a realizar determina que instrumentos mirar y en cual orden.

Instrumentos de control.
En vuelo recto y nivelado y a una velocidad de crucero normal,
alinee el avin del indicador de actitud o lo que corresponda segn el tipo de
indicador.
El vuelo nivelado se mantendr tomando como referencia el
indicador de actitud, hasta que sea necesario una correccin. Estas correcciones
se harn de y ancho de barra, dependiendo del tipo de instrumento.

Para reconocer una actitud anormal se notara que las agujas de los
instrumentos de performance se movern y variarn ms rpido de lo normal o a
lo que s esta normalmente acostumbrado a ver, inmediatamente chequear el
indicador de actitud para ver que se presente o no, como de costumbre:

Esta seal, sin embargo, debe ser ocho veces ms fuerte para
poder predominar sobre la estacin ms dbil. En un rea de aproximadamente
igual fuerza en la seal de dos estaciones que estn en la misma frecuencia, el
equipo DME hace contacto primero con uno y despus con el otro.

Este sistema emite una seal visual entre 2,5 a 3 con respecto a
la pista pudiendo llegar hasta 4,5 dependiendo del tipo de avin, para dar un
paso seguro sobre obstculos. La trayectoria de planeo de este sistema,
generalmente coincide con la del ILS, si no fuera as, estara indicado en la
cartilla de aproximaciones correspondiente.

Este sistema esta compuesto por una unidad de luz que proyecta
3 colores y es ubicada a un costado de la pista. Tiene un alcance visual til de
a 1 milla diurno y hasta 5 millas nocturno, dependiendo de las condiciones de
visibilidad. La indicacin es roja bajo la trayectoria, mbar sobre sta y verde en
trayectoria.
NOTA: Considerando que la fuente de luz es una sola, sta puede ser
confundida con otras fuentes. Los pilotos deben estar atentos a
este posible efecto.
Son las luces que demarcan los limites laterales de una pista en
condiciones de baja visibilidad o nocturno. Estos sistemas son clasificados
dependiendo de la intensidad o el brillo que las luces pueden producir:

iii. MIRL. Medium Int. Rwy Lights
iv. LIRL. Low Int. Rwy Lights
Las luces que marcan el fin de pista emiten luz roja para indicar
el fin de pista a un avin despegando y emiten verde hacia fuera de la pista para
indicar el principio de pista para un avin aterrizando.

Ahora bien, para que el sistema radar pueda cumplir con los
requisitos anteriores, constar de los siguientes componentes fundamentales:

h. MTI. Este es un componente adicional que proporciona
informacin solamente de blancos mviles, cuya velocidad es

que el radar queda susceptible a velocidades de cancelacin
comnmente llamadas velocidades ciegas. Este fenmeno
causa una prdida momentnea del objetivo.

Antes de que un INS pueda ser usado, debe ser alineado. Para ello
se le ingresa la posicin en forma manual mientras automticamente se alinea

Los equipos GPS certificados para vuelos IFR, pueden ser usados
como substitutos de receptores ADF y DME en el siguiente tipo de operaciones:
9. TIPOS DE APROXIMACIONES
a. Superpuesta
Esta permite usar la avinica del GPS bajo condiciones IFR para
volar procedimientos instrumentales pre-existentes (ADF, VOR, VOR/DME).
El largo del segmento inicial vara con la categora del avin usando
el procedimiento o los requerimientos de gradiente de descenso. El largo mnimo
de este segmento es de 3 millas para un avin categora A y de 6 millas para
uno categora E. Estos segmentos estn en 90 (perpendiculares) con respecto
al intermedio.

En Aproximacin VOR:
o A diferencia de la aproximacin ADF, el VOR le
permitir descender de la altitud mnima sealada,
cuando Ud. se encuentre dentro de los 30 con
respecto al curso de acercamiento y con un rumbo
