11.  Professional Experience:

 i. Farm Management- Managed Medicinal and Aromatic farm for about 6 years and
gained experience of various farm operations, labour management and knowledge of
cultivation and processing of medicinal and aromatic crops such as menthol mint
(Mentha arvensis), lemongrass (Cymbopogon flexuosus), citronella (Cymbopogon
winterianus), palmarosa (Cymbopogon martini), patchouli (Pogestemon patchouli),
aswagandha (Withania somnifera), satawari (Asparagus racemosus) and sarpgaandha
(Rauvolfia serpentina).

ii. Extension- Organized farmers training program to popularize improved agricultural

practices and established demonstrations at farmer’s field for three years. Made
extensive survey of rural areas to form farmer’s “Self Help Group”. Demonstration
and quality seed production on wheat, rice , black gram, green gram, gram ,pea and
vegetable crops such as tomato, cauliflower, lady’s finger, potato were conducted.
Integrated plant protection measures were applied to various crops raised in
demonstration plots. Mentha demonstrations were organized at farmer’s field in
Barabanki district of Uttar Pradesh to popularize the latest cultivation and processing
technologies.
 
iii. Agriculture Marketing- Worked as Centre In-charge for the marketing of seed and
pesticide among farmers. Purchase of farmers produce (maize and wheat) was also
made on large quantity basis.
