Article : Animal shouldnt be used for testing by Oak Lawn Dantone

There are so many diseases that exist in the world. Starting from mild to severe diseases such
as influenza to HIV. Prior to the detection of drugs, most of the people who suffer from the
disease leads on to death. This makes its own anxieties about the survival of human life. For
it for over a hundred years, people almost every day doing medical breakthroughs are
expected to be useful for human survival. In doing human experiments need help from other
living beings, especially animals. Why? Because animals closely related to humans that
would be facilitate the process of the experiment. As a result of human and animal health has
been a direct result of research using animals. Vaccines, drugs, food and cosmetics are
examples of products through animal testing process first. Of course the uses of animals in
research reaping a lot of controversy. However, the use of animals in research is essential for
the development of new methods and more effective to diagnose and treat diseases that affect
humans and animals itself.

More than 26 million animals are used for animal testing in the US in 2010 (Thalidomide,
2013 , para. 5) and this number increases with the increase in the number of companies that
require animal testing in trying products. The animal testing it has enabled the development
of numerous live-saving treatments for both humans and animals, that there is no alternative
method for researching a complete living organism. Although there is a presumption that
such criticism is unfair, heartless, and people just want to take advantage of the helplessness
of animals, animal testing is essential for human survival. Surely we would like to see our
descendants stay healthy, would not we?

Animal testing is still necessary to advance scientific understanding. Add to scientific

knowledge through basic biological research to help us understand how living things work,
and to apply that understanding to the benefit of humans and animals. Animal studies are an
important part of this research process. Many basic cell processes the same in all animals, and
animals such as the human body. To treat the disease, doctors and scientists must understand
how the healthy body works. This, in turn, led to an understanding of what happens to the
body when we get sick and how this can be put right. So later we can develop and provide
better treatments for the same disease that we try first on animals. And also we can reducing
the amount of living that. After all we can conclude that animal testing is a way to protect
humans, animals and also eniviroment.

Surely the uses of animals in experiments a lot of controversy. Either on the way they were
treated or about the equalization of their rights. According to Hudson he discovered the
existence mistreat which caused the death of over 5 baboons under the care of the researchers
when he was in study centers and also they were given the disease to see the changes and the
effectiveness of a drug(Dantone,2015, para 2 and 3). Actually we cant only look up to the
one resources just like one study center but we have to see another study center. In this case
the author seems do not know how strict oversight of the conduct animal testing laboratory.
Which companies are violated then they shall be fined and demands the removal of a
production license by the government. So how exactly the mechanism in animal testing? First
there are the criteria by which animals do animal testing or not that animals used for
experiments is not an animal that can live a long and difficult to breed. On the contrary the
criterias of animals used is short-lived to have a high reproductive rate and generate the
number of children that much anyway. For example mice, monkeys and cats. Animals to be
used for an experiment first conducted medical tests it is intended to minimize the error in the
experiment because researchers are not allowed to waste the number of animals used. In
addition to the animal health tests are also treated well like he was the original habitat, the
animal should be able to run, jump, communicate with each other, and ran well. For that
laboratory provides a very spacious place for those animals. To get good test results.

Although the renewable technologies offer us to not have to use animals for experiments such
as tissue culture or even organ, there are so many diseases that we cant test simply by
relying on a pile of tissues or organs. The complexity of the human body makes us need to
substitute for it all. We need a mechanism to test the whole of the disease for example such as
polio, which is where the development of the virus will continue to rise along with immunity
or susceptibility to vaccine. Animals used must have a high level of compatibility with
human DNA. Especially with regard to the healing of an illness, the researchers can conduct
experiments, when this is the plague that will threaten human existence. Thus it is necessary
to do regular research on the matters.

Animal testing is an important thing to be done by humans to sustain its species and other
species that would in doing experiments we must remain committed to the ethical principles
of biology and also the rules of the government. There are a lot of diseases that sucessfully
reduce such as polio, the number of cases have reduce to 99 % in the world not only in one
region.( Andreson,2015, para. 24). So we can conclude that human still need animal for their
lives and anothe lives too. Because it does not make sense to sacrifice the future of human
health and well-being by not using animals in research today. In fact, it would be immoral
and selfish for not using animals in research today, given the dangers that can be obtained for
future generations if such research is stopped.
