Introduction:
"Mathematical values and habits of mind go beyond numbers and symbols:
they help us connect, create, communicate, visualize, reason, and solve.
Using mathematical thinking allows us to analyze novel and complex
problems from a variety of perspectives, consider possible solutions, and
evaluate the eectiveness of solutions. When developed early in life, these
habits of mind generate condence in our ability to solve everyday
problems without doubt or fear of math."

Daily Materials: binder, notebook, lined paper, chapter notes/workbook (if any),
pencils, pens, scientic calculator, anything you may need!

Student Responsibilities & Expectations!!:


Regular attendance is essential for success.
Coming prepared with all supplies is also essential for success.
If you miss a class, ask a student or myself to catch you up.
If you plan on missing a class, come talk to me beforehand.
If you are LATE, please enter quietly without disrupting the class!!
Cell phones & music devices are to be o & away during teaching time, you
are welcome to listen to music after when it is time to work.
Phones are to be used for educational purposes only!
Use your time wisely. If you do NOT nish your work in class, it is your
responsibility to complete it.
Do your own work, it is not acceptable to submit another student's work. It is
also expected that you DO the work & not copy. If you get stuck or would
like some extra help, PLEASE come see me!

DEPEND ON YOURSELF FOR SUCCESS, and hold yourself accountable if you're not doing
the job. Don't lay blame on other factors. Your grade and whether you succeed will only affect
you in the end, so take responsibility and do your best!!
