templatesorpatternstohelpthemaccomplishwritingtasksmoreefficientlyand
productively.Additionally,templatescanhelpreadersunderstandwhatwhatisgoingto
happeninaparticularpieceofwritingtheycanstructurethereadersexperienceofthepiece
ofwriting.
Inthematerialsthatfollow,youwillfindanorganizationaltemplateforWritingProject#3
TheTheoryofWriting.Youarenotrequiredtousethistemplate,butitmighthelpyou
constructyourTheoryofWritingmoreefficientlyandeffectively.
Note:inthetemplatethatfollows,youwillseeanumberofheadings.Theseheadingsareused
tohelpthereaderdistinguishdifferentsectionsintheproject.Headingscanalsobeusefulfor
thewriterbecausetheygiveabroadoverviewofwhatthewriterhasdoneinthepieceof
writing,andtheycanhelpkeepthewriterontrackwhentheyarecomposingtheproject(i.e.,a
writercanquicklytelliftheyarestrayingofftopicifaparticularparagraphdoesnotmatchup
withtheheadingunderwhichitfalls).
