Pioneering Discoveries - The essence of who we are and what we do.

Jetwing is a brand deeply focused on knowledge of the country, its cultures, its
history and its people as well as striving to always be 100% Sri Lankan in everything
it does. Inspired by history and tradition, Jetwing holds strong Sri Lankan values and
which can be trusted to deliver a truly Sri Lankan experience; a pioneering company
that is in step with the times, simultaneously reverential of its history, but with an eye
towards future discoveries.

Our Story

It all started on a sandy shore on the beach of Negombo close on 40 years ago; the
beginnings of a company which was to revitalize and revolutionize the tourism industry
of an entire country. The vision of late Herbert Cooray, Jetwing began with the opening
of Blue Oceanic Beach Hotel, a planned 50 room hotel but launched initially with 6
rooms and was eventually reimagined and relaunched as Jetwing Blue (with 112 rooms)
in 2011, with a portfolio of over 15 properties.

Jetwing Hotels has gone on to be a major player in the hospitality industry since then,
surpassing expectation at every aspect. Building on their foundation of being
passionate, as well as the experience of true, traditional Sri Lankan hospitality,
constantly pioneering discoveries captures the essence of the brand. Such a strong
statement and direction have enabled Jetwing Hotels to imagine, create and manage
marvels and masterpieces, where distinctive design and elegant comfort complement
each other and the environment. In addition, Jetwing has ventured overseas, bringing
Sri Lankan hospitality to New Zealand (Off Broadway Motel).

With such innovative properties such as Jetwing Lighthouse in Galle, being a monument
to the genius of Bawa and his students; Jetwing Vil Uyana in Sigiriya a man-made
wetland celebrating the harmony between humanity and nature; as well as a focused
commitment on being sustainable and environmentally responsible through the use of
biomass boilers, CFL lighting, and the recycling of water at properties such as Jetwing
Blue, Jetwing Sea, and Jetwing Beach, Jetwing remains at the industrys forefront,
especially through the values of passion, humility, tenacity and integrity.

The Jetwing Eternal Earth Programme

The Jetwing Eternal Earth Programme (JEEP) is the umbrella term used for all
community and nature-based projects undertaken as a responsible tourism initiative by
Jetwing.

JEEP is split into the following components:

Corporate Social Responsibility: Ongoing projects carried out assist the

communities surrounding all Jetwing hotels. Trees for Life, Jetwing Youth
Development Programme (JYDP) are some of our most prominent and award
winning CSR initiatives.

Sustainability at Jetwing Hotels: Sustainable measures of practice

implemented to 'green' Jetwing Hotels ensuring that all hotels attain high
standards of environmental custodianship in both front-end and back-end
processes. This is done via the introduction of the Green Directory under the
supervision of an independent environmental consultant. Monthly internal audits
are also carried out by each hotel to monitor and check on performance in a
timely manner. The Green Directory is updated every year based on each hotels
performance and is currently in place for Jetwing Lighthouse, Jetwing Vil Uyana,
Jetwing St. Andrews and Jetwing Beach. Potential to be developed for Jetwing
Blue and Jetwing Sea Dr. Sriyanie Mithapala (Environmental Consultant) to
assess.

Eco-projects: Initiatives undertaken by Jetwing in the field of conservation and

raising awareness on the environment. For example, the Jetwing Research
Initiative (JRI) provides the logistics to support the projects undertaken by
researchers as we believe this helps the tourism industry to develop partnerships
with scientists and conservationists to protect Sri Lanka's biodiversity. JRI has
supported over the years scientific studies on primates of Sri Lanka, Sri Lankas
dragonflies and the Sri Lankan leopard at the Yala National Park.

Humanitarian projects: Consists of all the short-run measures undertaken at

each Jetwing hotel to assist the neighbouring communities. Examples include
beach cleanups, donations to rural schools and hospitals, for social construction
projects, purchasing of equipment, etc.
