Anaphora and Symbol

Goldilocks and The three Bears

Based on the story Goldilocks and The three Bears, first paragraph and second
paragraph, there are sentences which started by the same words. Its called anaphora.
Anaphora occurs where many successive clause or sentences start with the same word
or clause following instances of anaphora and parallel syntactic structure are found in
the text which are in big proportion if we consider the total length of the story.
Example : father bear was very big, mother bear was middling in size, and only
baby bear could be described as a teddy bear.
In the next paragraph (second paragraph) the same word is repeated. The word is
bear.
Each bear had its own size of bed. Father bears was large, nice, and
comfy. Mother bears bed was middling in size while baby bear bad a
fine little cherrywood bed
neatly laid out on the kitchen table stood three china bowls. A large one
for father bear, a smaller one for mother bear, and a little bowl for baby
bear.
We can analyst that the purpose of writer put anaphora in the first and second
paragraph because writer want to more emphasize and focus on the characters of
familys bear in the story. So, the reader focus to the main characters and they are the
three bears. Besides focus to main characters, the purpose of writer put some
anaphora in the story because writer want to reader as though can see or imagine the
characters. In the first and second paragraph, familys bear are introduced one by one,
start from father, mother, and baby bear. When they read that paragraph, the reader
can imagine about the physical appearance of father, mother, and baby bear. Some of
the text which I have showed above we can see that writer try to describe how the
physical appearance of characters. Father bears was big, mother bears was middling
size, and baby bear was little and cute. Besides that writer try to show or describe size
of the bed each bear. This is clear that writer want to bring the reader to more close
with characters of story.

In the story, there are a lot of noun and adjective, specially concrete nouns.
there are 72 total number noun in the story, and there are 59 total number of
adjective. In the story there are lot of noun are followed by adjective. I think the
writer use descriptive style to make the story more real. Writer use simple vocabulary
in the story, but there are some idiom and collocation that writer use. Example of
idiom word is goldilocks its refers to a person who has gold hair color. While
example of collocation that I have get is made a friend.

The title of this story is Goldilocks and the three bears. Genre of this story is
fable. Its tell about a little girl with 3 bears. The 3 bears is family. They are a kind
animal, while goldilocks is a liitle girl but she is haughty. In the ending of story,
goldilocks and baby bear made a friend each other. This story good for child because
describe and tell about the life of animal in the large forest. This story can educate,
because there are moral value can we get which writer put in the story.

The writer give the title for this story is goldilocks and the three bears, so the
main characters of this story of course about bears. I think writer has reason to take
character of bear to story.
 the neighbors were all very respectful to father bear and other animals
raised their hats when he went by. Father bear liked that and he always
politely replied to their greetings. Mother bear had lots of friends. She
visited them in the afternoons to exchanges good advice and recipes for jam
and bottled fruit.

why dont we go and visit the beavers new baby? Mummy beaver will be
pleased to see us

and this is how it all ended. From that day onwards, haughty rude
goldilocks became a pleasant little girl. she made friends with baby bear
and often went to his house. She invited him to her house too, and they
remained good friends, always

From the part of story above, I can make conclusion that writer take character
of bear because writer want to changes the view of reader who think if bear is
horrible and wild animal became bear is a kind animal and can make a friend with
human. In the story the reader can feel that a familys bear are funny, cute, and kind.
As we know bear is dangerous animal. Its a symbol of darkness and one of the king
of forest. But in the story writer describe about bears is the kind animal. Goldilocks is
the characters who is made by writer as an antagonist. Here, writer try to build a good
relationship between bear and human not just for bear but to all animal. Writer want
to human and animal can love each other.
