CLASSICAL MUSIC IN CONTEMPORARY WORLD


MAIN GOAL

Research about classical music through day-a-day student experiences.

OBJECTIVES ACCORDING TO THE INVOLVED AREAS

Music

Students will be able to recognize, understand and use all the music terms that are required during the implementation of this project.
To play guitar chords.
To sing in tune.
To use percussion instruments.
To value national and international cultural legacy.

IMPORTANCE

Through this project, students will realize about classical music in their lives. In this sense, they will be able to create a significant connection
and discard negative approaches to this cultural expression (old or boring music). They will be able to value different and transcendent cultural
expressions.

Students meet in groups of three.

According to their preference, students will choose a musical piece.


Students will upload the title of their selected musical piece into a google survey.

PROJECT DEVELOPMENT

Research:

Students will research about the connection between now-a-day situations and classical music: Where the melody has been listened or
used(movies, advertising, news, etc.)

Students will research about musical piece author, musical period, etc.

Practical development
With all the obtained information, students will develop a creative exposition through Prezi or Powerpoint, according to the parameters given.

With teacher accompaniment, students will play an extract of the selected musical piece. It will be presented at the beginning of the
exposition.
Project will be presented to other grades. (Best works, the others students will add to the best groups)
