Relationship Building A Major Motivation


Brad Fauteux has built his career on a foundation of relationship building with all the
stakeholders touched by the organizations he has represented. Its importance has
guided how he works with clients. Its also had an important influence on the types and
approaches of services and programs he creates for his consulting clients.

Career Highlights
Over the course of his career, Brad has honed his skills and knowledge base in both the
public sector (environmental and natural resource management) and in the private
sector (technology). His work as an executive with Ontario Parks won various awards for
setting new standards for tourism and environmental policy and practices.

During his service at Ontario Parks, Brad was responsible for 2,500 employees and
oversaw a $90 million operating budget and a $1.5 billion capital portfolio.

While with the organization, he was also involved in the completion of the Mid Canada
Line Project, a $85 million environmental remediation project in the north end of the
province the largest such project in Ontarios history. In addition to its scope, the
project was notable for the way it forged strong relationships between First Nations
communities, regional operations of the Ontario Parks system and the Department of
Defence to make the remediation a success.
Brad also helped forge new public and private partnerships with more than 300
intergovernmental, community, Indigenous and private partners while with Ontario
Parks, which resulted in service delivery to more than 10 million clients annually. One of
his campaigns grew the park systems Learn to Camp program to 8,000 annual
participants, with a return rate of 75 percent among core campers.

Among the awards Brad earned for his work with Ontario Parks were the Environmental
Commissioner of Ontario Award in 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2016 and the Tourism
Marketing Partnership Award from the Tourism Industry Association of Ontario in
2014.

The recognition he gained in the wider community for his environmental work and
interests also led him to play a role as a consultant on the Credit Valley Trail Strategy.
This is the roadmap, to be published later this year, for the main artery of the 98 km of
trails and paths that have been pieced together by the communities along the Credit
River watershed over the last 60 years.

During the early years of his career, Brad led the Private Career Colleges/MTCU branch
as director and acting superintendent. While there, he designed and executed the
organizational redesign of the facility.

He earned his bachelors degree from Wilfrid Laurier University and his management
certification from the American Management Association International.

Interests Outside of Work


Nature and environmentalism have always been Brads first love. To that end, he is an
active outdoorsman who hikes and camps, and canoes the various waters that mark
Ontarios public lands.
