Goals and question:
Research the background information of American
Revolution, how and why did it happen.
Notes:
-There was problem between British and other colonies,
which causes by the British rule that ban the settlement of
those people in the west.
-Due to the problem, the British needs to raise more money
to support their troops. So there were the Sugar Act, the
Stamp Act and the Townshend Acts to gain money because
the British cant do the trade with those colonies.
-After the Parliament passed the Coercive Acts and the First
Continental Congress starts to be independent from Britain.
-After load of wars the First Continental Congress gained

Reflection:
By researching these information, it would help me a lot to
answers the question that my group have come up with (How
Rome fall and the Dark Age in Europe influence the American
revolution.) It allows me to understand the concepts and what
causes the American Revolution.
DATE: 1 sept 2017
Goals and question:
Research about the fall of Rome and what are the factors
which lead to this tragedy and related to the American
revolution.
Notes:
-over expansion: At that time, the Roman Empire acquire the
land from the Atlantic Ocean to the Euphrates River in the
Middle East. The communication was very slow and
ineffective because the land was to big. This causes lots of
trouble when theres war or any trouble.
-military overspending: It was hard to control the citizens in
the Roman empire because it was so big. They need lot of
military support. More and more money was spending on
those support and they hire some group of military thats not
the citizens.
-government corruption and problem: there was civil war +
hard to control due to over expansion + weak governor +
people lost their loyalty to the emperor

rome-fell
Reflection:
I want to understand more about the fall of Roman Empire,
because the knowledge from the previous school year wasnt
enough and it is not clear. Moreover, I feel that it is essential
to do more research to answer the research question.

Goals and question:
How Rome fall and the dark age in Europe influence the
American Revolution?
Notes:
Due to the conflict between Britain and other colonies
countries, the British send their troops to the land of America.
By sending those troops out, the British needs lots of money to
support them. Like Britain, the Roman Empire were expanding
their empire to other countries and other cities. They were
suffered a lot by it, due to the overspending on military and the
expansion. Moreover, with the invasion by the barbarian tribes
cause them to need more military supports. However, there
were some differences between Britain and Roman empire.

Reflection:
At first I think that I am going to do the research question=>
How Rome fall and the dark age in Europe influence the
American Revolution? But then I feel that there was no
influence by the fall of Rome to the American Revolution and
there was very less information about Dark Ages that I can
related with the Fall of Rome and the American Revolution. So
I change from that question to compare and contrast the fall
of Rome with the American Revolution. Since there were
some troubles and struggles, I didnt the goals for today.

Goals and question:
Continue and finish the question from the previous day.
Notes:
(continue)
The Britain was able to pass those problem by the Sugar Act, the
Stamp Act and the Townshend Act, which raise it loads of
money. On the other hand, Roman were busy with other
problems. Those problems are the weakening of roman legions,
they loss their traditional value, there was the rise of Eastern
Empire and the corruption of government. The American
revolution were influenced by many philosophers and also
politicians. Unlike the First Continental Congress, Romans
doesnt have great philosopher and even great emperor in that
day. Their government were corrupted and faced with economic
stability

Reflection:
Ive accomplish the goal that I set. By doing this, it helps me to
understand the relationship of the fall of Rome and the Dark
Age. Moreover, I have known that there was some connection
between these two historical event which it somehow interests
me. This will be included in our project and it will be
demonstrating in the form of picture diagram.

Reflection:
We put together our information and we analyze it. We
finalize the information that we will include in our photo
book. I start to plan my part of the project, and start to draft
some layout. I list the things that I am going to need for the
project. Start taking picture of the decoration and also find
some pictures in the internet. By doing this, I think our project
will finish on time and it will be like the outcome that we
planned.
