Automation of Interview Scheduling Process

Abstract
This project is aimed at developing a web-based and automatic interview
scheduling process system for an organization. Some features of this system will be Applicant or
Job-seekers Registration, storing application data, and Interview process initiation, Assigning
Interview groups to candidate, conducting interviews, and storing Interview results for the
applicant and finally Hiring of the applicant.

This system Automatic interview scheduling process will help the organizations
to speed up the interview process. In this project the automation of interview scheduling process
offers great flexibility and ease use of the system. This system provides recruitment services
through Internet or by local website for job-seekers. This project generally deals with providing
for job seekers through this system. The job-seekers can easily get the details of the interview
process. At the same time it makes easy for organization for conducting the recruitment process.
The applicant or job-seekers have to register their profile in this website, they
have to give their complete personal details, educational details and skills they possess. After
registration the applicant will get the unique ID (applicant ID) and interview details that is
interview process.
This system will enhance the process of the recruitment and will dramatically
reduce the time and complexity of the recruitment process. For developing and increase the
growth rate of an organization needs the human resources. This project is developed for
improving the performance and fulfills the organization needs.

Brief description on the modules:

1. Administrator: Administrator has the full authority over the website. He can view all
the registered applicant details and have the power to delete the applicant details. He can add
employee to the recruitment department list and also have power to remove from recruitment
department list. He can assign employees for conducting interview dynamically to form the
interview groups. He can edit the interview groups and update them. And he has power to delete
the interview groups

2. Applicant Registration: A job-seeker or applicant can register their profile. After


registration, he will be directed to know about his/her interview process (i.e.) he/she will get
unique ID (applicant ID) and the interview details. He/she can check interview details and
current status of the interview process with the help of the unique ID.

3. Employee Login: An Employee can conduct the interview for the applicant and update
the status by providing the results of the applicant in the current interview process. Employee has
the login account, and they can login into their account and can update the interview process.
He/she authorized only to update the status of the applicant, who is assigned for him.

EXISTING SYSTEM

Presently applicant registration is done manually. That is if an applicant came for


the interview by direct walk-ins, applicant has to register their details by writing into register
note or some other written sources by means of hard copy sources. And then the company
employees or recruiter has to announce the process of interview to the applicant. Then the
candidates have to go to consent interview groups.

LIMITATIONS OF EXISTING SYSTEM

There is a chance of missing the details or may spell error will occur while
registering the profile by applicant. And the company needs employee or resource to announce
about the interview process and interview details to the applicant. And the applicant find it
difficult about the interview process Its takes so much time to take up the interview process. The
company also finds it difficult about the applicant details. Recruiters forced to check the applicant
details manually. And the recruitment also is done manually.

PROPOSED SYSTEM
Automation of Interview scheduling process is aimed at developing a web-based
and central recruitment Process system for a company. Some features of this system will be
storing application data, and Interview process initiation, Scheduling Interviews, Storing
Interview results for the applicant and finally hiring of the applicant. This project Automation of
Interview scheduling process is a website in which jobseekers can register themselves and the
system will automatically assign unique ID and then they can know the interview process and
interview details. By giving the unique applicant-ID, the Applicant can know his/her interview
status. The employee (interviewer) can update the status of the applicant. So, human error can

avoid by this system. And applicant can know all process of the interview. It has made all the
process easy for both employee and applicant.
