NEET 2017 - The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has
declared the provisional seat allotment on August 8 for 15% All India Quota seats in Government and Private colleges, after the NEET second round of counselling was conducted between August 1 and August 4. The seat allotment for Deemed and Central Universities was released on August 11. Candidates can check the same from the window given on this page by entering their NEET Roll Number. Candidates who did not participate in the first round or resigned their seats were allowed participate in the second round of NEET 2017 Counselling. The seat allotment after first round of NEET 2017 Counselling had been released by the MCC on July 14. CBSE had earlier made available the Rank Letters for NEET 2017 qualified candidates for 15% All India Quota seats from July 4 onwards. Earlier, CBSE had declared NEET Result 2017 on June 23 in online mode. The counselling schedule for NEET 2017 was also declared by the MCC. The official NEET 2017 Answer Key had been published on June 15 and could be challenged till June 16. This was declared through a CBSE notification posted on June 12 after the Supreme Court order. CBSE conducted National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) on May 7, 2017. NEET 2017 was held offline (pen and paper based). Admissions to about 90,000 MBBS and BDS seats across the country will be through NEET. About 11,50,000 candidates had filled the NEET 2017 application form from January 31 to April 5, 2017. Various coaching institutes are in the process of releasing NEET answer keys 2017, as the national-level medical entrance examination has been conducted. NEET 2017 was conducted at 2,200 examination centres in 104 cities across India. As per a Supreme Court directive in 2016, NEET has replaced All India Pre Medical Test (AIPMT) as well as all state level medical entrance tests and will now enable admission to all government, private and deemed medical and dental colleges/ universities across the country. The NEET 2017 admit card was available online from April 22 onwards for registered candidates who can download their NEET admit card 2017 by entering their registration number, date of birth and security pin. In 2016, about 7,31,223 students had appeared for the NEET exam and 4,09,477 candidates had qualified in it. Candidates can apply for the 15% All India Quota tentatively in June/ July. Admissions to the medical seats under the state quota (85%) will be held separately through the respective state medical authorities.
