Maintenance Duties:

(a) General Duties of the Engineering Staff

The Contractor throughout the term of this Agreement will carry out the following
services as applicable:-

Check operation and maintain the equipment in accordance with the recommendations
of the relevant operation and maintenance manuals and recognized good practice.
Monitor the operation of all controls and safety devices.
Execute preventive maintenance and advise accordingly.
Undertake whatever other maintenance or servicing as may be required to ensure the
equipment is functioning and performing correctly.
Check all controls, safety devices, electrical wiring and mechanical installation of the
equipment.

(b) Periodic Maintenance - to include (as applicable)

The following services shall be carried out in accordance with the manufacturers
recommendation and the requirement of the project to keep the installation in good
running order.

(i) Monthly:-
Visual Inspection and ride quality check.
Clean and lubricate the relevant parts.
Check the installation for wear and tear.
If necessary, do minor adjustments on machine, controller, selector, switches, , and
safety equipments etc.
Check the electrical connections to the installation.

(ii) Yearly:-
The twelve monthly inspections and checking to be carried out.
Thorough inspection by GGLS own team. If third party testing required it will be charged
separately.

c) Other Terms
i. The Contractor will charge all major repairs (certain components require
replacement immediate or future), overhauls, alterations and cost of spare
parts etc. The Contractor is responsible for procuring necessary spare parts, for
which extra charges will be advised, with prior consent of the owner. However,
supply of the spare parts is subject to availability. The owner shall not allow any
third party to attempt to repair, maintain or service the installation. Failure to
do shall be breach of the terms of t his Contract.

ii. The Contractor shall immediately notify the Owner in writing if the Equipment is
or becomes unsafe and shall make such recommendations to the owner with
regards to such alterations and/or repairs as may be necessary or desirable
to ensure that the Equipment at all times meet all mandatory and
recommended standards of operation and safety. Any repairs which may be
required for the safe functioning of the Equipment is recommended by the
Contractor and to be approved by the Owner.

iii. The Contractor will provide all necessary materials and tools, included in the
cost for work related only to regular servicing of the Equipment, as mentioned
in clause one above.

d) EMERGENCY & BREAKDOWN CALLS

Attend to any breakdown calls during normal working and non-working hours within 60
minutes of notification to the numbers below.

Normal Working Hours


Working hours for on-site maintenance shall be:

Saturday to Wednesday: 8.00am to 5.00pm


Thursday: 8.00am to 1.00pm

Emergency breakdown service support shall be made available 24 hours/day, 365 days per
year within 15-25 minutes of the call, Contactable via telephone nos. 17250791 / 39605082
(included as part of the Contract at no extra charge)
