Dentro del objetivo 3, realiz una vigilancia tecnolgica con respecto a las
tecnologas o procesos aplicables a la inactivacin de virus y/o de modelos
vricos en aguas y/o en moluscos y/o en vegetales. Se seleccionaron dos
tecnologas de descontaminacin no trmicas: la aplicacin de agua
ozonizada, una tecnologa qumica que se basa en el gran poder oxidante del
ozono para inactivar microorganismos patgenos como bacterias y virus. En
segundo lugar, se seleccion una tecnologa fsica basada en la aplicacin de
pulsos de luz. Ambas tecnologas se aplicaron primeramente en soluciones
modelo y, seguidamente, se evaluaron en la inactivacin de vegetales
inoculados con Calicivirus felino.
