Aaron Siskind

Aaron Siskind was born on December 4, 1903 in New York City, New York. He grew up on the
lower east side of New York. He died on February 8, 1991 at age 87. He graduated from City
College, he became a public English teacher. After Aaron becoming a teacher, he became
attracted to documentary photography. In his Career Siskind was a member of the New York
photo league. While working with the group, Siskind produced several significant socially series
of images in the 1930s. Among the photo the Harlem document remains the most famous. He
was a grade school English teacher in the New York Public school System.

What I like about this picture by siskind is the big branch of the tree is
sticking out and touching the ground.
 I like how its so simple and yet it has so many meanings to it.

I like how the old paint is coming of the old wood and that is so beautifal
to look at.
