content, skills, attitudes and instructional
strategies taught in the classroom and the
variety of school activities in and out of class For me, curriculum is about
that influence present and future academic, everything that goes on within the
social, emotional and physical growth of school, including extra-class

I conclude that they are all correct; all those statements

have a sense. Though, they have different kind of meaning
of what is curriculum. Teachers defined curriculum with
different meanings. All I need to do is respect their
answers. Thats all.

My Analysis

Curriculum is very important in education. Without the curriculum,

education is nothing. We need sequence in curriculum according to
the needs of pupils. Appropriate materials also need to be
considered.
MY REFLECTIONS/INSIGHTS

Why is curriculum important?

Curriculum is important because curriculum is considered the heart of

any learning institution which means that schools or universities cannot
exist without a curriculum. We need our curriculum especially the K-12
curriculum. Though Filipinos are known to be competitive in the
international community, our current education system hinders us in
becoming more competitive among other countries. The K-12 education
plan offers a solution to that problem. K-12 Education Will Help Filipinos
Gain a Competitive Edge.

How can one enrich the curriculum in every

school?

To improve the curriculum of every school the school head must

have a clear vision for his teachers and the school as well. He needs
to know, on what are the things need to improve in order to meet the
standard of a good curriculum. It depends on the school head on
how he will handle the school curriculum, and its about his
knowledge and skills in order to enrich the curriculum.
 Evolve your own definition of curriculum. Consider all
the meanings you have taken from the different sources
and from authoritative sources.

WHAT IS
CURRICULUM?

Curriculum is the whole learning experiences or skills

given to students, so that school can provide competent
graduates. Curriculum is also about all planned leanings for
which the school is responsible. Of course we need to plan the
lesson before discussion thats why teachers, are also
responsible for the leanings of the students, were going to
provide instructional materials for them.

How did I feel after the activities?

I feel proud, because I can made my own definition of the

word curriculum I can easily construct my meaning of
curriculum because were already tackle this topic when we
were in 3rd year college. For me its better to be simple but
the meaning is clear. Rather than youre using highfalutin
words then cant understand what you are saying about.
