 Reformation Commemoration Service
on October 29
A Reformation Commemoration Service is
to be held jointly by the Nebraska and
Western Iowa synods on Sunday, Oct. 29,
2017, from 2-3:15pm with reception to
follow. The service will be held at St.
John's Parish on the Creighton University
campus in Omaha, Nebraska.
Thank you to all who shared hugs and
tears, kind words and prayers, and
flowers and food. We are all blessed to
have known Pastor Justin and he will be
deeply missed. We pray for continued
support for his family in their days going
forward.

Bishop Brian Maas of the Nebraska Synod

and Bishop Rodger Prois of the Western
Iowa Synod will be leading the worship
service. The service also will feature choral
music to help commemorate the occasion.
Representatives of the ELCA's ecumenical
partners will be invited to attend and
participate. Registration to attend the
event is now open online
at nebraskasynod.org. 5th MONDAY DUTCH LUNCH
Chosen ChristCare invites everyone to
St. John's in Norfolk will host a livestream join in for fellowship and Dutch-treat
of this worship service on Sunday, October lunch at Godfathers Pizza on Monday,
29, with seating open in St. John's October 30, @ 11:30 AM.
