Student Photo Contest

Call to Young Artists

In celebration of D.C. School Garden Week, October 12-16,
2010, DC Schoolyard Greening is sponsoring a garden
photography contest for all D.C. students K-12th grade.
Students can submit up to 2 photographs focusing on flowers, plants, or gardens to
the following categories:
Category I: Kindergarten-2nd Grade
Category II: 3rd-5th Grade
Category III: 6th-8th Grade
Category IV: 9th-12th Grade

For each entry, please attach a CONTEST ENTRY FORM.*

A panel of judges will announce the winners from each category and award prizes
during D.C. School Garden Week. Winning entries will be eligible for prizes and will be
on display during School Garden Week 2010 (October 12-16) and online.

Judging panel includes: including Kathy Jentz – Editor/Publisher of Washington Gardener

Magazine, Susan Harris – Garden Coach and Blogger, Christa Carignan – Garden Blogger
and Photographer, and Lisa Helfert – Professional Photographer.

Photos may be taken by digital cameras to be submitted by

email (in .jpeg format of at least 300 dpi) to:
