Assessment Assignment 1: Interview Review Report

Weightage 35%

2. Magazine Cover 10 marks
3. Presentation 15 Marks

INSTRUCTIONS:

You are required to carry out an industrial visit in groups of 5. (Please remain in the same group as
your mini research report assignment.)

Complete the following tasks for this assignment:

A. Part 1 (Review 15 marks)

1. As a group, identify an ex UniKL-MIIT alumni top achiever/ successful person to be

interviewed.
2. Prepare approximately 10-15 interview questions. Include questions on challenges faced by
the interviewee during his/ her years of studies and at the current workplace.
3. Organise a group visit.
4. Conduct the interview on site. The interview is to be conducted fully in
English.
5. Individually, write a review (report) on the interview and visit. The review should be about
4-5 pages in length, 1.5 spacing, font Times New Romans, Calibri or Arial, size 11 or 12.

your group.

The assignment is to be stapled on the left hand side and taped. Marks will be deducted should you
fail to adhere to the given instructions.

B. Part 2 (Magazine Cover & Presentation 20 marks)

1. As a group, prepare an A2 size magazine cover which features the successful person that
you interviewed as the cover story. You will be required to explain the cover (projected via
LCD) in a group presentation. Your presentation should be approximately 10-15 minutes.
2. Please note that the presentation should be short, interesting and clear.
3. Every member of the group has to present one part of the topic.
4. Marks will be awarded individually based on:
your knowledge on the topic
clarity of the speech and ideas
appropriateness of vocabulary
body language and confidence
grammar and sentence structure and
originality and attire.
5. A copy of the poster (softcopy) should be emailed to maswanhizzly@unikl.edu.my at the end
of the presentation.
