1.0 General Terms of this RFP

1.1 GMR Group

2.0 Technical details

2.1 General Terms & Conditions - Technical Bid

1. Technical Bid Submission - Tenderer has to submit technical bid which shall contain Pre-
Qualification Documents along with the technical documents as per the enclosed list below. The
technical Bid have to be following:-

(I) Pre-Qualification documents -

(a) Complete profile of the company including list of product services, PAN India presence, Factory /
office locations, List of clients, manufacturing testing facilities, Manpower, List of certifications, etc.

(b) Proof of average annual financial turnover Net worth of the company during last 3 years ending
31st March of the current financial year.

(c) Proof of having successfully complete similar works during last 2 years ending last days of the
month previous to one in which tenders are invited as following: (Attach Completion certificates
along with PO/ Contract Copy/work orders) - At least one similar work completed of 3 Cr or above in
last 3 years
(d) The turnover of company must be atleast 15 Cr for last Three Years. Please furnish the stamped
details regarding this.

Brief on Ready Built Factory Shed

Building Requirement (Civil):-

1. Area of Building : 5000Sqm (53,825Sft)


2. Size of Building : 50.0 X 100 M
3. Pre Fab steel structure
4. Height of Building: 5.0 M at bottom of truss and centre as per design.
5. Plinth height from Formation level is 600mm
6. Type of Building: Rigid frame with 2 nos (row) of interior columns.
7. Roofing : Colour coated Galvalume sheet with Glass wool insulation with required no. of
Sky Lights with sky shade pipe method and Turbo Vents as per design
8. Block Masonry: External wall height 3.0 m and balance height Colour coated Galvalume
sheet. Partition wall for offices , electrical & Toilets
9. Foundations : Individual footings as per design
10. Flooring: Concrete flooring for production area. Offices & toilet area with Vitrified floor
11. Rolling shutter 2 nos (5.0 X 4.0 m) and Entry and exit wooden doors (1.8 X 2.1m) and
others area wooden doors (1.0 X 2.1m). For Toilet cubical PVC doors (0.75 X 2.1m).
Electrical Room rolling shutter 3.0 X 3.0 m
12. Aluminium Sliding two track windows (1.5 X 1.5m) & Ventilators above windows (1.5 X
0.45m) & louvers type for toilets (0.6 X 0.6m).
13. Finishes: Plastering to wall with painting and putty for internal & external.
14. Dadoo in toilets up to 2.1m
15. Office area: 3nos of Cabins, meeting room and workstations area with Wash rooms (1
no for each gender) with required fittings & fixtures.
16. Wash rooms for workers: 14 nos of W/C for Ladies and Gents with required sanitary
fittings & fixtures. Includes W/C (western/ Indian), wash basins, piping, Etc.
17. Armstrong False ceiling Office & Toilet area with supporting structure from roof.
18. Lintels & Sunshades over openings (door/windows), Canopy of 2.0m projection at
Rolling shutters and front area.

Technical Specifications for structural works:

A. Design Criteria

Our steel buildings are designed according to following codes


1. Frame members are designed in accordance with 1989 (9th) edition of the American
Institute of Steel Construction (AISC): Manual of Steel Construction, Allowable Stress
Design.
2. Cold Formed members are designed in accordance with the 1996 edition of the
American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI):Cold Formed Steel Design Manual

3. All welding is done in accordance with the 2000 Edition of the American weldingSociety
(AWS); Structural Welding Code-Steel. All Welders are qualified for the type of welds
performed.

4. Manufacturing dimensional tolerances are in accordance with the requirements of the


1996 Edition of the Metal Building Manufacturer Association (MBMA)of the Low rise
building systems Manual.

Wind Load Application : MBMA
SEISMIC : IS1893 Part-I, RF-4,I-1,ZONE-III

C. Loading: Pitch Roof


Dead Load : 0.1 KN/m2
Live Load : 0.57 KN/m2
Wind Speed :180 KPH

SPECIFICATION OF MATERIALS

1. Built Up Members: Grade 50 confirming to ASTM A572 materials having min. yield
stress of 345N/mm2.
2. HOT ROLLED Members: IS 2062 Grade A.
3. Web to flange welds of Built Up members are Single side fillet welds by continuous
automaticSAW process, unless noted otherwise except for crane beams( Double side
weld )
4. All primary members shall have atleast one welded splice.
5. Secondary: Light gauge cold formed sections having min. yield stress of 345 N/mm2.
6. Anchor bolts, Brace or Sag Rods: Material having min. yield stress of 240 N/mm2.
7. Bolts and Nuts: High tensile conforming to ASTM A-325M for primaries and ordinary
ASTMA307M for Secondary.
8. Sheeting conforming to ASTM A792M (or) AS1397, Coating AZ150.For Trapezoidal
Y.S 550N/MM2, D'Lok Panel Y.S 345 N/MM2 &Decking Panel Y.S 240 N/MM2.

SURFACE PREPARATION AND PAINT SYSTEM

Primary built up members:


1. Cleaning: Shot blasting to Sa 2.5
2. Primer: 1 coat of Epoxy Primer &Two coats of Epoxy paint of DFT 100 microns
3. The Anchor Bolts shall be Black Steel.
4. Secondary Cold Formed members shall be 275GSM

ROOF SHEETING
Single skin colour coated Galvalume of 26ga

WALL SHEETING (above 3.0m brick masonry)


Single skin Galvalume colour coated 26ga pre painted (Approved Colour)

Roof Insulation of 12kg/cum 50mm thick for Roof area only, Turbo vents &
Skylightswith sky shade pipe method as per design.

Building is design & Built with Guarantee. Required shop drawings tobe prepared by
vendor and approved by Site Incharge before execution of work.
1. Completion period of contract: - Bidder has to complete the whole work in 120
days from the date of LOI/PO
2. The Design warranty for the said works is for 05 year from the date of completion
and handing over of complete scope of work duly accepted by KSEZ.
3. Defect Liability period, for 1 year the contractor shall rectify the defects at its own
cost and expenses to our satisfaction. Allrepair services during this period shall be
done at KSEZ site and with in timelines as specified by us. If the repair services are
not provided within the time limits as specified by us, then we shall get it repaired
from any othersource at your cost, expenseand risk and cost/expense of all such
repairsshall be recoverable from you.

4. RETENTION AMOUNT - 5% of the Contract value shall be deduced as retention


money against each RA bills, which shall be released after completion of the Defect
Liability Period of 1 Year

9. Payment Terms
9.1 For Structural works
#Mile Stone 1 10% on dispatch of the materials from the factory on submission
dispatch documents and prior to inspection of materials by GMR person authorised
factory.
#Mile Stone 2 - 30% of the total contract value against receipt of structural material
at site.
#Mile Stone 3 -10% of the total contract value against receipt of roof and cladding
sheet at site.
#Mile Stone 4 -20% of the total Contract value after completion of structural
erection
#Mile Stone 5 -10% after successful completion of roofing and wall cladding handing
over of the project

#Mile Stone 6 -10% after substantial completion and handing over the building to
client
#Mile Stone 7 - 10% after completion of all punch list

9.2 For Civil Works:


#Mile Stone 1 20% Completion of excavation, filling, footing foundation and upto
plinth beam(incld.)
#Mile Stone 2 15% Completion of Masonry wall, internal and external plastering
and PCC for flooring
#Mile Stone 3 15% Concrete flooring, tiling works
#Mile Stone 4 25% False ceiling works in office area, Toilet works, join works,
windows, rolling shutters, etc., Complete
#Mile Stone 5 15% Internal and external painting works and miscellaneous works
#Mile Stone 6 10% after completion of Punch list.

10. Design warrantee of Structure 5 years.

Other Terms & Conditions

1. Completion period of contract:-Bidder has to complete the whole work in 120 days from the
date of LOA/PO. However, In case of delay in completion of work beyond 120 days reason
attributable to the Vendor then a liquidated damage of 0.2% of total contract value per day
shall be deducted from bidder's final invoice.

2. The Design warranty for the said works is for 05 year from the date of completion and handing
over of complete scope of work duly accepted by KSEZ.

3. Defect Liability period, for 1 year the contractor shall rectify the defects at its own cost and
expenses to our satisfaction. All repair services during this period shall be done at KSEZ site and
with in timelines as specified by us. If the repair services are not provided within the time limits as
specified by us, then we shall get it repaired from any other source at your cost, expense and risk
and cost/expense of all such repairs shall be recoverable from you.

5.This Contract is Lumpsum contract for Civil & Structural works including complete design. The
Vendor needs to submit the item rate break ups for information. The Vendor also needs to submit
the design calculation for approval to KSEZ before commencement of work.

6. The Bidder has to submit the EMD of Rs.3.0 Lakhs in favor of Kakinada SEZ Limited, Hyderabad.

7. Consultant / Contractor should submit a Letter of Under undertaking to the Asst.commissioner for
GST requesting for providing export of goods or services without payment of integrated tax.

8. According to the regulation of GST, Bond/Bank guarantee need to be provided to Asst


Commissioner for GST requesting for providing export of goods or services without payment of
integrated tax.
9. Upon submission and acceptance of the Bond / BG as per regulations, the Asst Commissioner shall
issue Letter of acceptance.
10. Illustration of Bond Amount:
The contractor has to provide a bond for 18% (or 28% depending on the nature of
supply/service) CGST tax value of the Work order value. (Eg. For Rs.80 Lakhs Work Order 18% of
CGST is Rs.14.40 Lakhs). The Contractor has to provide a Bank guarantee for 15% of the CGST i.e.
15% of Rs.14.40 Lakhs = Rs.2.16 Lakhs. BG has to provide of Rs. 2.16 Lakhs Only)
