What You Should Know
Outdoor Event
Rain or shine, the event will go on.
Wear comfortable shoes and dress for the
weather of the day.

Parking
Use the 'off-leash dog park' parking lot at
the far west end of Despard Avenue.
Overflow parking is available at adjacent
Springwood Elementary School.

Ceremony Site Access

Start at the RDN kiosk by the parking lot and follow
the trail up to the ceremony site.
It's about 275 m from the kiosk to the ceremony site,
with one easy slope.
Washrooms are available within Springwood Park.

At the Ceremony
Come visit the RDN displays, information
booths, and bike registration.

Out on the Trail

After the ceremony, the event moves onto the trail
which runs about 7 km to the kiosk at Hwy 4A and
Station Rd in Coombs.
Along the way will be three water and snack stations.
Check out the Woodlot station for new trails to explore.

Food and Drink

Cake and refreshments will be available at the ceremony. As
well as snacks and water at the trail stations.

Free Shuttle
From noon to 4 pm, there will be a free shuttle running
between the Springwood and Coombs kiosks.
Walk one way, and hop a ride back. Limited bike racks
available.
Fully accessible.
Note: There are no parking lots associated with the Rail Trail beyond
Springwood Park.
