    The Gross Tonnage Calculations:

    GT=K1 V

    Where:

    V=Total Volume Of all enclosed spaces of the ships in cubic meters.

    V=683.145 m3

    K1=0.2+0.02log10 V

    K1=0.2+ (0.02 x 2.834)

    K1= 0.2566

    GT=0.2566 x 683.145

    GT= 175.29

    The Net Tonnage Calculations:

    NT= K2Vc (4d/3D) 2+K3 {N1+ (N2/10)}

    Where:

    VC=total volume of cargo spaces in cubic meters.

    VC= 167.60 m3

    K2=0.2+0.02log10 VC

    K2=0.2+ (0.02 x 2.397)

    K2=0.20

    K3=1.25 {(GT+10000)/10000}

    K3=1.25 {(175+10000)/10000}

    K3=1.254

    D= Moulded depth amidships in meters

    D=3.40 m
    d=Moulded draught amidships in meters

    d= 2.77 m

    N1=number of passengers in cabins with not more that 8 berths =0

    N2=number of other passenger=24.

    Therefore

    NT= (0.20 x 167.60) {(4x2.77)/ (3x3.40)} 2+1.254 {0+ (24/10)}

    NT=42.56

    According to International Convention on Tonnage:

    NT shall not be taken as less than 0.30 GT.

    So the net tonnage =0.3 x 175 =52.50
